What about it? I'm confused. If you're asking if I have tried it; no I have not. I'm not sure how doing weight watchers would help me not be hungry between meals. I also have to follow a strict lowfat diet so I do not know if weight watchers is something that would work.

No I am not, but my dr told me to avoid it; there is a concentrated amount of fat in just a tablespoon. I really do miss it; especially on celery. As I mentioned before, my fiber is in normal range for an average diet. I do love carrots though so will see what I can do.

Thanks; it would be helpful if you posted a link to where I can find what my daily values of these are suppose to be or how this can help me.

I actually cannot eat peanut butter but love cinnamon on my toast in the mornings so will try that.

It has been since I got my appetite back after being in the hospital, so probably a month now at least. I have already had a regular menstrual cycle and it didn't increase or decrease my appetite besides craving chocolate and salty/greasy foods.

Thanks for the link! I will check it out and let you know if anything catches my eye. Also, I will check into B vitamins; currently I take a daily multi-vitamin but perhaps I will have to get an additional supplement. I honestly do not know how to track that since it is not an option on mfp. I checked and my fiber ranges…

I actually order water with lemon when I go out to eat in substitution of soda pop. I will see if I can get into a routine of drinking water on a schedule and will let you know if that helps. Thanks for your advice!

I will see if I can find some other substitutions for protein since I cannot have very much fat in my diet. My carbs average around 300g per day; which is normal.

I also quit smoking the day I decided to change my lifestyle. I will admit that it was very tough for me to handle the stress and have had a few days that I thought I was going to fall off the band wagon, but I never gave up. I have not had much success with my weight loss as of yet, but am making an effort to eat…

It was definitely easier for me after the first week or two. I also chewed gum almost 24/7 for the first several weeks to keep my mind off of wanting a cigarette. I also used the patch as a way to quit smoking; I don't know why I didn't try it sooner. Granted, some people think it is expensive but when you compare it to…

I have now stopped smoking for 1 month, 3 weeks, and 4 days. That translates into 532 cigarettes NOT smoked, for a savings of $133.09! At 5 minutes per cigarette I have increased my life expectancy by 1 day, 20 hours, 21 minutes, 43 seconds.

I was recently approved for temporary insurance so will check with my dr and see if I can see a dietitian. They have been very generic with me and say "loose weight, watch what you eat, eat a high protein low fat diet and avoid saturated fats". They have not tested my blood sugars yet so I will bring that up also at my…

I will have to look into cinnamon pills; I have heard that cinnamon in general is very good for you. I also love your idea of pre-portioned snack bags; I will try that this next week and let you know how it works out for me.

Due to my problem with my pancreas I am only suppose to eat between 45-60 grams of fat a day, which I generally stay around. I have made my diary public if that helps. :)
-
Thanks for your advice! I went back through and checked the entries that I have logged; seems like I am staying on track for calories; there are a few days that I've gone over 100-300 calories due to snacking or eating late meals.
-
I am sorry, I thought it was public already. I have made it viewable and for reference I have been active since April 11th of this year.

Hi there! My name is Lindsay and I have been suffering from acute pancreatic episodes several times over the past 5 years (normally twice a year). Recently I had to be hospitalized for 5 days and they almost had to do dialysis in order to lower my triglycerides. Once inflammation subsided, I was released with a…

I get mistaken as young as 20 by some people; but I am 25. It annoys me now but I'm sure if I continue aging like this then perhaps I will look 30 when I am 40. -crosses fingers-

My favorite breakfast/brunch is a bagel with laughing cow cheese on it. My favorite is the sun dried tomato and basil.
-
My favorite is anything with spicy mayo or eel sauce. As a newbie I would recommend a cucumber roll or a California roll since neither of those have sashimi and are good for you calorie/fat wise.

I quit smoking a month ago and have noticed that my appetite has increased. Granted I am an emotional eater whom has panic disorder so that can also be the reason why I have been eating more often. I have learned to replace snack foods with healthier alternatives such as fresh veggies. So far I have not seen a significant…

I was hospitalize for 5 days last month and was not allowed to eat for the majority of those days. I found that once my appetite returned I was hungry very often. Granted I also quit smoking when I came home and have heard that also can increase your appetite. It has been over 30 days and I still am constantly hungry; I…

I prefer to use skim for when I am cooking but prefer to drink Almond milk (I buy the Vanilla one) and also use in my cereal. My favorite thing about it is that generally it expires in 3 months vs 1 month or less for regular milk.
-
My favorites include fresh fruit (apple, banana, etc), pretzels, popcorn (light butter) or carrots with fat free ranch. I also have been buying the special K cracker chips which are very good for you. It also depends on what my total is for that day; if I didn't eat very much and have enough fat/calories some times I will…

Dear 16 year old me; get off your *kitten* and start taking care of yourself. Just because things may seem bad now doesn't mean that staying in that mindset will help you any. If I have learned anything from life putting yourself first is the most important thing to do. I let my problems consume me rather than doing…

When I could no longer wear juniors size clothing. Also having to be hospitalized for 5 days due to my pancreas inflaming. That is what I call an expensive wake up call!
