1. What Week/Day are you on? Completed W3D2 this morning 2. How do you feel? I feel great with the exception of my sore/stiff hips. Working on different streches to hopefully help with this. 3. Have you had to repeat a week or day? Not yet! 4. Did you add time or remove time from one of your runs? Just a few extra minutes…

I just started week 3 this morning. I'm loving the program so far! I have never been a runner, even in my best shape, but I'm finding this to be doable and I'm suprising myself with each run. The only thing is I've developed soreness/stiffness in my joints, mainly my hips. Other than that, everything is going well. Best of…

Completed W3D1 this morning. The first 3 minute run was a piece of cake. I completed the second, but it took a little pushing. I've noticed though pain/stiffness in my joints the last 3 or so runs. Mostly in my hips. I stretch before and after and don't really notice the soreness until after I've sat down for a while, not…

I agree with the others, listen to your body. Do a nice round of stretching before and after. If it hurts while you're running, then walk it and try again another day. There's no rule that says you have to complete the program in exactly the number of days it allows and if taking an extra day will prevent injury, then you…

I'm starting W2 tomorrow and, believe it or not, I'm actually excited about it. W1D3 went a lot better than the first day, so here's hoping I'm actually improving. I think my biggest surprise is that I'm actually enjoying this. I was never, EVER a runner, but I'm finding having an achievable goal may be helping! Best of…

I just completed Week 1, Day 2 this morning (before it got too unbearably hot out). I found that I went a much shorter distance than I did on Day 1. I know the goal is to get conditioned, but is there a recommended distance that should be achieved in the early stages?

I did Week 1, Day 1 on Tuesday and felt wonderful afterwards. Muscles were a little sore today, but I'm looking forward to Day 2 tomorrow. I'm so glad to see so many others just beginning the journey also. Best of luck everyone!

I'm 5'6" and started at 170lbs two weeks again when I got serious again about trying to lose these pesky pounds. My goal weight is to reach 140lbs. I'm already 6 lbs closer. This is my third attempt at using MFP, and each time I have found at least some success, but I lose pace when life gets busy. Extra motivation to…

I forgot to add that I'm also looking for any fun ideas on how to incorporate excercise into a busy schedule. Any ideas would be welcomed!

Hello everyone! I'm so excited to see a thread with fellow teachers! First, a little about me. :-) I'm 27 years old and going to be starting my 6th year of teaching next week. Eeek! I teach band and general music for grades 6-8 as well as assistant band director for our high school band. Outside of fall marching band I'm…

Wow! I was not expecting so many great responses!! The game is fun and I am hoping that it will be a bridge to going to actual classes. Thank you all so much for your input!
