Had minor surgery on Wednesday and have been slowly recovering since. Can't do any sort of exercising, so I'm trying to focus on not over-eating.

Burpees and I are not friends. I'm going to save those for a little farther into the challenge.

Hello everyone! I'm 31 from Delaware. No kiddos *yet* but two kitties and a gecko that are our fur children for the time being. Been on MFP for quite sometime now and have lost about 20 pounds with it. I still have about 10-15 more pounds to go to reach my goal. I enjoy running (I've done a handful of 5k's) and Jillian…

Hello all. Just found this group and joined up today. I need an accountability group to keep me on track! I completed the 21 Day Fix during March, and as soon as that finished, started to lose sight of my goals. Back at it again starting tomorrow. My goal for this challenge is to lose 10 pounds, only 3 away from my…

Good for you for starting! I remember the first run I did with the program. I thought I was going to die! But, here I am a year later, and I'm able to go for much longer. You can do it!

YES! I ran a mud run about 3 weeks ago. Took a week off due to soreness and weather then got sick. So, here we are 3 weeks later and I'm going through some serious withdraws. I'm hoping to get back to it this week.

Around Christmas time I decided I wanted to make afghans for each of our FOUR nephews. One is done, the second is about 90% complete and I have no idea what to do for the other two. Thank goodness for summer vacation coming up. Hopefully I can crank out the last two then.

You will be amazed at what your body and mind is capable of. Trust that the program has prepared you for this. It has. You can do it! I look forward to reading about your progress!

Stick with it! I'm 5'6" 146 lbs. It took me until level 3 before I noticed any changes. Definitely take before and after pictures. They're totally worth it!

Just started RI30 today. LOVE IT! Definitely worked up a sweat and I thought the pace of the first work out was kicked up in comparison to the Shred. Looking forward to this journey with you all (not to mention some awesome results!).

My goal is to hold myself more accountable. There was a time in the last few months that I was crazy about logging everything and working out daily. Since getting a silly sinus infection last month, that mindset has gone. I NEED to get it back. So, my goal is to log everything (regardless of how bad my day was) and to…

Breaks are always terrible for my eating and exercise habits. Believe it or not, I thrive when I'm on a normal work schedule. Add to this the weight I normally gain during TOM and this week has been a disaster! Here's hoping to find a balance this week and to be back on track next week when spring break is over!

I hit that point last week! I'm finally starting to feel confident in how I look. Making this whole process totally worth it.

I wasn't able to access the google document, and I'm not totally 100% sure how to post pictures, but here goes nothing!

It seems as though many of us find it difficult some days to motivate ourselves to get the time in. Same here. I'm an educator that works 10-12 hours a day, and many times the last thing I feel like doing when I get home is work out. What I did, at least in the beginning before working out became totally addictive, was…

I've felt the same way so many times! I've been on this journey for over a year, seriously started working at it in June. Not until about 2 weeks ago did I start to see differences in myself. I keep reminding myself that I didn't put the weight on quickly, so I can't expect it to go away quickly. Keep at it, and the…

I have to goals, however reaching either of them would be amazing: 1. Buy and feel comfortable in a new swimsuit. (Bikini would be amazing, but I think that may be pushing it right now) 2. Reach my ultimate goal weight by June. I have about 12 pounds left to go. Totally doable, but I've heard that last 10-20 pounds are…

I log everyday as well! I love the community and support it brings. Friend Request sent!

I run my first race in a week. This thread brought up so many things that hadn't crossed my mind! Thank you all so much for your contributions. I feel like I might not be a total train wreck with all of the information you shared!

I worked through the C25K app as my summer project. I knew that once school had started I would not be able to run every other day like I had June-August. I have not yet been able to complete a 5k in under 30 minutes, so my goal at this point is to try and increase my speed a little. I started using the Runtastic Pro app…

I graduated the Ease Into 5K program on August 18. I completed the 5K during the workout (5 min warm up, 30 min jog, 5 min cool down). My next step is to run the entire 5k without walking. First offical 5k scheduled for the end of October so I'll have plenty of time to work on my speed.

I breathe in time with the steps I take. Breathe in for 2, out for 2 and so on. These are not always the deepest of breaths, but they're even and help me get through each run. You can do different intervals (3, or 4) if they work better for you.

You are supposed to leave at least 1 day of rest between runs. This gives your body time to recover which is what will increase strength along the way. I usually go running Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday leaving 2 days to prepare for the new week and increase running times.

That's a great idea! I completely agree with the little rewards. Each week completed I rewarded myself with a new piece of running gear. (New shirt, pair of shorts, etc.) Completing the program is getting me a pair of Vibram 5 fingers that I've been looking at forever! Also, look for things to be proud of. Running longer…

The head game is what I struggle with most also. I try my best to concentrate on everything BUT the time I have left. Most often I'll focus my breathing, or mentally sing along with the song playing at the moment. Whenever I get to a point where I think "You can't do this, you need to stop", I find myself thinking about…
