  • Thanks for the idea. I'll keep it in mind. I too am going to use this site as more of a support. One thing I know helps is to honestly write down what I eat.....which I did today, and it really isn't pretty, but it is there. Tomorrow is a new day.
  • I think you are doing a really hard thing caring for your Dad....and you need to cut yourself some slack, and give yourself credit for what you have done, and for what you are doing. You deserve a hug!
  • Some days I wonder how come I seem to sabotage my efforts. I am such an emotional eater.....I get frustrated with one of my boys, and McDonald's here I come. With support from this site, I hope that I will come here instead of run to McDs to vent. Anyone else ever have issues like this.....and if so, how do you control it?
  • I am feeling just like you.....I say I'm going to try again, but there are always celebrations, trips, numerous reasons to eat. If only I could eat, but eat less. That is my new thing to try. I am going to count my calories honestly, to see what I actually eat in a day, then I am going to decrease the amount of what I eat.…
  • Today I burned 978 calories doing 45 minutes on the elliptical and 30 minutes on the step machine. I have a watch HRM with a telemetry strap. I love that thing. It is much more accurate than the machines. It really pushes me to keep my heart rate in the right zone.
  • My "mini" goal is to lose 5 lbs by the end of March.....with a goal of 20 lbs by July. Then I too will be under that 200 lb mark. I haven't been there for years. A mini goal is a great idea. 5 lbs sounds do-able. 20 lbs sounds a bit scary. Good luck to everyone!
  • Way to go! You should be so proud of yourself. I can't wait until I can post those same words.
  • Thanks to everyone. I look forward to Trying Again!
  • Hello, I am on the weight loss/fitness road again..... and found this site. I thought it looked very helpful. I've never been much of a message board person, but just reading some of the encouraging posts, I think this might be a great motivator. Hello to all the fellow "just starting" and "trying agains" out there.
