Same for me! I'm down 19 total, and I'm keeping myself in the "lose 1/2 lb" also so that if I go over by a little I don't have to worry. For me I think it's a mind over matter problem... I do fluctuate up to 4 lbs depending on the day, though. I haven't found the exact reason, but I weigh every day to make sure that's all…

My aunt made me a cookbook of family recipes when I got married, but I also love the "cook this, not that" cookbook. It helps me adjust other recipes I find on Pinterest

Mine is open 1600, but I eat a lot of snacks, so it's easy to go under if you leave those out (or eat better ones!!).

Haven't had White Castle, In-n-Out, Checkers, but those aren't around me... My parents used to take me to lots of fast food places on the weekends, so I've been to most of them!

I drink coffee in the morning, but after that it's usually just water. I'll drink lemonade during the summer a lot, and I exclusively drink apple juice when I'm sick. I used to drink soda all the time, but I've stopped and now I only usually want a drink or two of my husband's coke when we go out!

If you snack on appetizers beforehand, try to stick to healthy stuff like carrots or salad. That will help you stay away from eating too much of everything else. I'm planning on walking that morning/evening so I won't worry too much about what I actually eat during the main meal - like others have said, it's just one day…

I'm in! Lucky for me, I do eat breakfast (only because I can't drink coffee on an empty stomach!).
-
I'm making chicken quesadillas... If that helps!

I have candy from Halloween, and it's been horrible! I have been trying to keep to frozen fruit. I put some in the fridge to thaw in the morning and I eat it as my after work snack when I get home. It's sweet enough for me without making me binge because I can only eat what I put out.

Sloe cookers are awesome if you can get one - you can just put chicken in the crock pot and out enough water to cover it, then set it on low for 6ish (doesn't have to be exact) hours. Then you can pull it apart and mix in whatever you want, taco seasoning is great for quesadillas, or you can make chicken salad, or…

I'll add you! Been maintaining since March ish (but I eat very boring food).

I still log but I don't weigh anything. I'm pretty good at eyeballing it at this point, but if I don't keep myself accountable then I know I'd eat a whole pint of ice cream, chips, pizza, etc., all in one day since I stress-eat...

Originally to lose the marriage weight, now that I've done that I've realized how much I can't be trusted to portion control when left to my own devices
-
My goal at this point is maintaining/gaining muscle... I need to start working out since I stress eat during the school year (teacher). 5'6" - 121 lbs

I'm in the same situation - I also know I don't yet have the motivation/commitment to actually go even if I pay for it and on a budget I can't afford it right now. Does anyone know of a good place to find pool exercises? I have a pool that is in my homeowner's that I can use all summer.

Many times on vacation I find I actually walk more than when I'm at home. Just keep portions in check and you should be fine!

Coffee... and it's Friday!

Anybody know about a fix for new friends?
-
Mine is 1850.... But I'm maintaining so not sure if that's what you want. Feel free to add me!
-
I don't log it and then don't log my cookies afterwards - they cancel out! Just make sure you drink lots of water the day before and the day of.

I am going to start swimming as well! I've seen it's a great way to get stronger and gain muscle, but I agree with the above posts that it won't help you lose a lot of weight. I have gotten to my goal weight and now I am working on changing what my body looks like. Definitely log what you eat and set a goal. You can always…

As I sit here... Eating a snickers bar... I just have to fit it in with my other food or add some extra exercise. I figure one week a month won't kill me! (I also eat sweets normally, but it really is different)

Hope: I will be comfortable in whatever swimsuit I want this year Fear: That I will end up like my whole family and start out "skinny" but end up "obese"....

My brother noticed when I was down 10lbs (hadn't seen him in a year, and I'm a small person). I've just started realizing how my work pants are all too big now (down almost 20). I don't look that different to myself except when I try on swim suits!

I've stopped buying it... Nutella + pretzels = heaven
-
I'm 25, 5'6 - down 14 and now maintaining - open diary please add me  I eat when I'm bored, so you'll see some interesting stuff...
-
I've had the same problem.... I also got into the bad routine of eating a snack when I get home (even when I'm not hungry)... Gum does help sometimes, other times I have an apple or something that takes a while to eat (oranges are great for this) because it's still eating but it isn't a bag of chips or m&ms. Also when I go…

Getting toppings on the side (dressing, sour cream, cheese) really helps me eat less of it because I have to physically add it to my food when eating out. I also bought a whole bag of halo oranges to keep me from binging on sugar after lunch!
-
Because I have to log in in order to be accountable. Otherwise I snack all day :(

Realizing I gained 15 lbs in one year! It was my first year being married and my husband does not eat healthy - and I haven't learned to cook healthy yet. Since I started MFP I have gained 2 lbs but lost 5 since I started taking it seriously. Hoping to keep the weight off when I go back to working full time (teacher on…
