I went from 139》118 over a summer but my experience is not typical. I'm 5'6" and a teacher, so I was tutoring 3x per week over the summer, not working full time. I ate about 1200 calories, and walked 4 miles 3x a week (ate back exercise calories). Mostly I got way better at not snacking when I wasn't at work and drank a…

I'm 7 weeks pp and that sleep deprivation is hitting hard! I gained about 37 lbs and I've got about ten more to lose. I've been drinking soda regularly 😑 which I don't usually do but getting more than 3-4 hours of sleep consecutively would be nice! Hoping it gets cooler here to be able to walk outside!
-
6 weeks pp as well, I have 10-15 to go and I'm giving myself until the end of the year since I'm nursing and can't cut calories
-
I have a six week old as well so I totally feel you. Hoping to find a new routine with my baby but still trying to get by with enough sleep

New sahm here, my baby is 6 weeks!

Almost 17 weeks here, I was moderately active before, but the first trimester wore me out - now trying to get back to getting my steroids in as well! Feel free to add me!

That's the brand I was learning toward! Thanks!

Thanks to those who replied, yes they're for working out, specifically my husband is getting into ninja training and doesn't want to get hurt or damage his ring.

I have a super cheap garmin (vivofit 3) and I absolutely love that it's waterproof - that was the biggest selling point for me. It also syncs perfectly with mfp. I haven't owned a Fitbit, so I can't compare, but I think if I ever get a new device it will still be garmin.

Haven't eaten it yet, but I'm making spaghetti for dinner and I'm super excited about it!

I usually track my meals now and then wing it for snacks - but if I know I'm going somewhere (like the movies tonight) then I'll pre-log the popcorn or whatever. It helps me plan what kind of snacks I can have and what I should avoid for the day. I'm not super strict because I'm actually working on getting my 10,000 steps…

I have relatives with type 2 - the general guideline seems to be 15 carbs/snack (2 per day) and 40/meal. I don't know specifics, though

mathcatscats  I only have the vivofit (aka cheapo!) for now, but I'm working on getting my movement / steps up! Add me if you want!

I shower at night so I won't eat after I shower (usually 730-8ish) but other than that I don't try to limit it anymore....

Feel free to add me! Username Mathcatscats

Thanks! I'll check these ideas out

That looks amazing! I'll have to try it, thanks!

I like onion powder, just onions themselves are horrible!

I have the garmin vivofit 3 that I got on Amazon for $70, and you can get a separate hr monitor if you're into that. Mine is waterproof and doesn't need to be charged as it runs on a watch battery. I like it, but if you're just looking for a pedometer then you can deff go cheaper!

Cheesecake. I had a slice of cheesecake at my in-laws over Christmas.... it was from cheesecake factory and then I looked it up and it was a whopping (delicious) 1200 calories... Life goes on, but wow was that horrifying in the moment.

5'6" - goal 125ish. Feel free to add me! (I'm vaguely in maintainence, but I'm over my goal... soooo)

I just started a book called Black Wolves by Kate Elliot (I'm big into sci-fi and fantasy)

So totally me! I try to stay away until later in the day because if I start early it's an all-day affair... The struggle is SO real... Especially as a teacher with easy access to candy!

Nothing? I'm not a morning person, and I would have to be up earlier than I'd like to actually get anything accomplished in the morning. I usually get on my elliptical after work so I can be sweaty at home with no rush!

Painted my nails tonight!

Poorly! But really, something that helps me sometimes is giving myself something to do first - it's not that I can't eat X, but I have to do [chore/other activity] first. Once I finish doing that (last weekend it was vacuuming), I get distracted from what I wanted to eat in the first place. Note - this is mostly…

Edited againnnn, don't mind me forgetting to add things for the past few weeks and then forgetting everything. I lost 3.5 total, which is pretty good considering I've had a rough couple of weeks in terms of my general mood and attitude. The beginning of not seeing the sun in the mornings is always a huge downer, so I'm…

*Edited to add my weights so far!*

I didn't run again until after my vacation in August since I didn't want to hurt myself again before my trip! I ran last week for 20 minutes just to see if I still could. I did it! BUT my knee started hurting about 10-15 minutes in. It didn't hurt the next day so I ran on Saturday and ended up only running a mile (~10…
