What helps me in my "funks": Remembering that... *I'm not the only one this happens to *When it happened last time, it was temporary. It went away. It is temporary now, even if it doesn't feel like it. (Sometimes you have to push yourself through it so it doesn't last longer than it needs to, but I feel like there are days…

And, when you do go back to exercising, eat those extra calories! Technically, yes...if you're not exercising you should be eating less than when you are. But that's because you need to eat what MFP recommends PLUS the calories you burn during exercise (most of them, at least). If you look around, you will see all kinds of…

Had it this morning...wow! I felt like I was cheating. Very good, thank you! (I skipped the Splenda and didn't miss it.)

I love putting Redi-Whip on top (my FAVORITE whipped cream)...only 15 calories for a good squirt! Mmmmmmm.

1) Are you sure your calorie goals are high enough? 2) Are you adding to that calorie goal each day, based on how many calories you burn exercising?

Original flavor Triscuits for that Laughing Cow cheese. Read the ingredients...nothing scary at all! I try to stay away from things like high-fructose corn syrup. Even things labeled "healthy" like to sneak that one in.

I have had great luck with frozen fillets. That way you can have a bag in the freezer for quite a while, and pop one in the oven when you need a quick meal. The "plain" fillets are good (add your own lemon, seasoning, whatever), someone mentioned parmesan fillets from Sam's...I got from Costco tortilla-crusted lime…

Excellent, and makes perfect sense! I think this should be added to the "links you'll want to read over and over" post.

And jeez...I don't know about anybody else, but I was HAPPY to find out I should be eating more than I was! That was the best news ever!!!

Think about investing in a heartrate monitor. They're a bit pricey, but I decided it was worth it. With my HRM, I've burned anywhere from 190 to 220 calories doing the Shred. You know you don't put exactly the same effort in every time, so every day you burn a different amount. And as mentioned, each person burns…

Speaking of steaming, the new Zip-Loc steam bags are awesome! You can steam almost anything (veggies, meat) in the microwave. Easy, fast, and done to perfection. They come with recipes and ideas as well.

NO! The opposite is true. Yes...working out can help your metabolism. But not eating enough calories will slow down, even HALT, your metabolism. The guideline of "1200" is NET calories, meaning you should eat your exercise calories. Please take the time to read some of these (this topic is ALL over these forums):…

"Quick Trim" There's an oxymoron if I ever heard one. If it sounds too good to be true, that's because IT IS! Please do it the right way, the way that will keep your body going and going and help you enjoy life for the next 50+ years!

Congratulations on your hard work, it has paid off!!! I'm going to show this to my husband. He looks similar to your "before" picture and wants to look like your current one. Thank you for being an inspiration!

You could log walking from the exercise database. Maybe even x number of minutes at a medium pace, x number of minutes at a fast pace. BUT...everyone burns different number of calories. If you really want an accurate number, consider investing in a heart-rate monitor. For example, I do Jillian Micahaels' 30-day shred. I…

I HIGHLY recommend Jillian Michaels' 30-day shred. $9 at Walmart and Amazon.com and only 20-min workouts. Very INTENSE workouts that get results! Check out some of the 30-day shred topics here and you'll see the success people are having. It's tough at first, but you'll be amazed how much you improve with each workout.

It really does! Plus, now that you've responded here, this topic will be under your "My Topics" so you can go back and read it any time. That's what I do.

Nope no bread...just called Pizza Chicken because of the sauce and cheese. 419 mg of sodium.
-
Also: I'm assuming the chicken soup gets mixed in with the sour cream mixture?
-
Mmmmm! Right up my alley! Thank you! (Also love your idea of cooking a bunch of chicken breasts to use throughout the week. How do you cook them, just out of curiosity?)

Here's one that I'm in, great group of ladies: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/79603-women-40-would-like-to-share-progress

Yes, especially since you cut it up first.

As long as you don't overcook it, it's good! No oil, so healthier. The steam bags make it even easier. Steaming it keeps it more moist.

I second the 30-day shred. (It's by Jillian Michaels.) Only 20 minutes per workout--a very intense workout, but it's nice that you're done in 20 minutes. Lose some weight, build endurance, and tone up all at the same time.

Heart palpatations can be nothing. But...they can also be something! Don't play around...go see your doctor. Mine turned out to be mitral valve prolapse: a non-life-threatening condition that is almost always no big deal. But--go find out what is causing yours.

I did Level 2, Day 1 (Day 11 total) today. Wow! Definitely a step up, but I made it through pretty well! I can do this. One more way I know it's working: For the first time in my life, I can bend over and touch my toes. Easily. I'm becoming so much more flexible! I was so excited to realize that today.
