Stopped smoking around 10 years ago, and started running in 2007 and completed the Manchester 10K in 64 mins, have gone from not being able to run down the street to running 5K most nights and other nights even further :)

Hi, I suffer from a lot of headaches, I find running is good and because of the feel good factor you get afterwards it helps to ease them, doesnt always work as I do suffer migraines now and then but I certainly think it helps :)

Hi, I've been on here a couple of month, trying to maintain my weight but tone up, makes you think about what your actually eating when you know you have to log it, feel free to add me :)
-
Agree my lunces are small, but usually have reasonable amount fryit in the afternoon to and to be honest feel satisfied after my lunch, if I have a sandwich like am doing today I cant eat yoghurt and banana to as I feel bloated, but I also drink the majority of my water while at work
-
I find this hard also as I exercise daily and try to eat healthy, snack on fruit etc, but find I have to many calories left in the evening but dont want to eat rubbish just to use them up, but have had enough to eat so dont really want any more healthy stuff, the main time I go over slightly is probably weekend if I have a…

Hi im 5ft 2 feel free to add :)
-
I have a HRM and was told to go of that as its more acurate as its set to your weight heilght etc, guides on her are an average and dont suit everyone :)
-
I workout in the evening after work usually as I know once I sit downthen thats it I wont be motivated, so its straight in from work get changed and get it done :) Tried working out in the morning at weekend but find I just dont have the same energy as i do late afternoon early evening, so just go with whatever you can,…

Hi, Yes it does get better and easier, I first started running in 2007 was training for the Manchester 10K everyone laughed around me as I had never run before but they soon shut up when they saw me training, started running a mile used to almost kill me then after about 10 days I pushed myself that bit further, ended up…

wasnt that different always drink lots of water, have a cup of tea in the morning then drink water for rest of day and cup of tea at night, dont think its dehydration as drink minimum of 8 glasses water usually more,
-
Totally agree its what suits you best, I work out in the evening after work, but at weekend in the afternoon as I have more time, find I struggle in the morning as not much energy
-
I dont think it matters what you weigh, will always be some part that you wont be happy with, mines my tummy if I put on any weight its always there, you have to go of how you feel about yourself :)
-
Hi, :) Just try and stay focused and if you have a bad day just get right back on it as everyday isnt always a good one... feel free to add, good luck x
-
Dont really understand much of that lol, I was told when using HRM to up your time of exercise on MFP as the HRM is more acurate as it is set to you and gives a more acurate reading of calories burnt?
-
Feel free to Add, im trying to tone up at the moment and it always helps to get encouragement of others, this site is really good for that :)
-
I have the FT7 and it always says I have burned more calories than the running machine does, HRM is suited to the individual, I also alter on here as when I do a 30-45 min run always shows less calories than my HRM which i think is more acurate, definately worth investing in as you also see when your in your fitness and…

Hi, Think this site is the best for making you more conscious of what your actually eating, as we all think oh thats fine its only small but like you say can be loaded with calories, sometimes just substituting things is a big start, sometimes wont like what you log especially if you eat it before realising just how many…
-
Thats where I do my running due to Burcitus, saw a specialist and said im fine running but the pain will stop me, you kind of adapt to the pain when been there a long time, I just use he freeze patches to help :)
-
Ahh right I do a fair bit of running always getting injuries as I always want to run that bit further, like the idea of a tracker but I usually aim for 5K in one run lol Would maybe try some ice? you can also get a freeze spray that may be good for getting rid of the burning feeling as could well be just inflamation, would…
-
Sorry if I sound dumb but whats a C25K?? and would probably try a support bandage while on your feet might help, Iburofen are good for inflamation, I have Burscitus and use them when it gets bad
-
Really good to here others saying the same thing, as when I exercise thats what I worry about that I have to many calories left as I find it hard enough to eat the 1200 when being healthy :)
-
I drink on average 6-8 glasses but sometimes more, but am constantly going to the loo but know its good for flushing the system out so well worth it, also can make you feel quite full at times if you do drink a lot :)
-
Im exactly the same doesnt matter how much I exercise I tend to stay at the same weight which is fine, but the minute I do start eating more I tend to put a few pounds on around my tummy???? I find it hard to eat my daily intake of calories when eating healthy, have started eating a sandwich at dinner instead of just fruit…
