Hi gals! I'm Stephanie ;) Momma of two, 7YO and 2YO. Married, full-time corporate accountant B) I lost 26lbs back in 2010 and bought LOTS of super cute things at my tiniest. Now I stare longingly at the cute things and want to wear them. I have 50+ to lose now. I am (otherwise) super healthy, but want to get back to my…

Hi Jennifer! I have littles (2yo and 7yo) and it is so tough to not finish the meals "we've paid good money for" that they leave on their plates. I'm using MFP as a way to keep me accountable to not finish EVERYONE'S dinner. :-)

How is everyone doing so far?

Hi Everyone, I am 32 and 6'0 and looking to get back to a healthy weight after my second child. Exactly. This sounds like a plea for attention if anything. You have to like to eat SOMETHING.... Whatever you like to eat, eat more of it. I've had those days where I need more & I simply go to the frig or cabinets & think (hmm.....what'll I have).

I concur with all of those saying to pick one and stick to it, but I wanted to comment that your weight will change around 2-4 lbs. at different points throughout the day so that may be affecting your answers as well. So....I'd not only pick one scale & stick with it, but pick a set time of day also. I may weigh at…

Love, love, love this discussion. All of the benefits are amazing! I lose more weight when I drink enough water and feel so much better! I am a big supporter of Dr. Batman and his book "You're not sick, you're thirsty". Also, our body's thirst mechanism is so strong that many people mistake it for hunger. So, apparently we…

It's simply an oral fixation for me so gum and water are great!

Hello. I did WW last year and lost 22 lbs. I do find this much easier b/c I just need to write down/enter/remember the calories of what I eat instead of getting all the info. to calc. points. WW does work, and I totally support it, but MFP is amazing. I have lost 19 lbs with MFP. I like how simple it is to add exercise to…

I'm in. I'll weigh in tomorrow morning. My goals are to drink 100oz. of water a day & keep my calories in the green.

About me: I began my journey a year ago at 228 lbs. I lost 22 on WW, took a break, and then decided to join MFP when I got back on the wagon. I am one of those people that makes a yucky face when I hear the word exercise, so I need my workout to be fun. Answer: There are many fun options these days for exercise. I have…

Thanks for all of the feedback. As far as the last post goes, my daily amount of calories burned (per MFP) is 2,210 so the 1,210 it is telling me to eat will sufficiently allow me to lose 2 lbs. a week. My main concern was starvation mode, which I feel better about because I do have my two days a week that I work out and…

I'm a litle old....25 years 2 days, but I will be happy to provide any support/encouragement I can. Welcome!

I am 6' tall and my goal is to be 175. I am glad too see so many other tall ladies on MFP. :) As for clothing, Long Tall Sally and Long Elegant Legs are great although you have to order online.

I like 1 TBSP of honey. It is a little over 60 cals and has other great health benefits :)

From Jan to Apr of last year I lost 22 my dieting alone and no exercising. I am sure with dieting AND exercise you can do great in 3 months. I also think you will be pleased long before 155 lbs. I am tall also (6'0) and I will be thrilled at 185 and done losing altogether at 175. Good luck! I am sure you will do great, and…

That is the recommendation per the Mayo clinic to "avoid dehydration". I prefer to set my standards a little higher than just to avoid being dehydrated. Also, those recommendations are not tailored to an individual's current weight situation. Neither does it take into account that we are trying to lose weight. That is the…

There is an amazing book called "You're not sick, you're thirsty". The quick answer to your question is no. It is important to keep track of the amount of pure water you drink. Interestingly enough, according to this doctor it isn't 8 glasses for everyone. For one thing, people have different definitions of a "glass". 8…

Hi! I'd like to submit my application as well. I'm 24 and have the same work situation (I work with nmandamarie, actually)! I was 228 a year ago. I got to 206 on WW in April 2010. I slacked off since then and got back to 217 after holidays and vacation in Dec. CW: 209 1st Goal: 199 Ultimate GW: 170
