  • I'm about 5'10 and started around 221 (too many 'starts', but that is my highest weight) I'm currently 186.5 and my goal WAS always 174. The closer I get to it, them more I think 160-165 is where I'd like to land...we'll see how I feel then. The majority of my weight loss has occurred since November 2011.
  • November 1: 3.75 November 2: November 3: November 4: November 5: November 6: 3.75 November 7: 3.75 Total - 11.25 miles in; 38.75 to go
  • LOL, this is exactly how I was going to reply. We can try together. I tend to exercise in spurts and need to keep going all of Novemember to be ahead of the holidays!
  • My go to lately has been 1 C. cut fresh broccoli, some baby carrots or sugar snap peas and some sliced cucumber with roasted garlic hummus3-4 T. And either a light cheese stick or an ounce of gouda. It's a lot of food really. Takes me a while to eat it, which I need. I tend to eat too quickly - and then keep eating.
  • Counting is counting. I think WW did a lot of good for me in food education. To see that while it is about calories, not all calories are created equally. 100 cal of one food can be x points and 100 cal of another food can be fewer points. One way or the other, I'll need to 'track' food, I've decided I'd rather go with…
  • Gala - Gala Apple, 1 Medium apple 65 Laughing Cow - Light Garlic and Herb Cheese Wedge, 1 wedge 35 Birds Eye - Chopped Frozen Spinach, 1/3 cup 30 Wegmans Bakery - Lite English Muffins, 1 muffin 90 Egg - Egg Whites, 2 large egg white 32 I usually have this as a breakfast sandwich, eat the apple slices at my desk with a cup…
  • Yes, you HAVE to eat your calories! Esp if you are set to 1200 per day...I could NOT lose at 1200 a day, not to mention I was miserable and starving. I got consistent with logging every bite, weighing my portions, getting on that treadmill and eating those calories too (if I'm hungry - which I usually am, LOL). I went from…
  • Currently doing treadmill at home. Up at 4:45 to be on tread by 5:00, 50 minutes upstairs to see husband off to work, then hit the shower and 'start' my day. I'd like to add a class a couple/few times a week in the evenings, but don't seem to be making it a priority... :(
  • Oh! That is weighing in, I plan to only measure once per month.
  • Once a week, Tuesday mornings. Sometimes I'll let myself to take a peek on Saturday morning. But no more than that, or I make myself CRAZY!!
  • Weekends are very hard for me too. This is what I've been trying to do: If I 'let go' for a meal/snack/moment/afternoon etc... That's it. Let it go there. Do not let yourself go to the place where "I already blew it, what difference does it make now". It makes a difference!! Sometimes, I'm only back on track for the next…
  • Hmm, are you sure you are calculating calories right? Weighing your food, not guesstimating? Choose full fat cheese, milk etc.. instead of fat free? More protein? Neither of you have public diaries, so just some random thoughts.
  • I'm in!!! Feeling prepared and strong today!!
  • I'm SO stinkin excited to see Onederland again. It used to be I lived there, and if I slipped over into the 2's I could quickly drop back. This has been the hardest I've worked to get back there. I'm never leaving again, once I do!! See you there!!
  • I've been making a batch of bulgur or quinoa on Sundays, and having 1/2 to 1 C. of that with a cup of whatever frozen or fresh veg I'm in the mood for. I top it with an ounce of reduced fat feta, or gouda. I am starting to get bored with that, so I have a batch of black bean soup cooking right now. I'll have a cup of that…
  • Thank you both for the replies! And thank you for the link! Off to check it out!
  • Hey! I'm actually in Lake City too, but usually just claim Erie! Peach was NO fun yesterday!!
  • No rain on my parade! :) I have no visions of being a size 4! I've not been since I was 4! As I said, I'd be thrilled to be a 10, and realistically have been dreaming of a 12!
  • My health 'numbers' are all great! Cholesterol good and bad, blood pressure, sugar, etc. all good. But I'm horribly unfit/out of shape. I want to hit my mid 40's looking like those numbers and feeling like running after my seven year old and enjoying my 18 year old.
  • That huge range is part of the problem! I know, I'll know when I get there. Part of my 'problem' is that I'm healthy now according to my blood work and physical from my Dr. I just know, and he agreed, that the extra weight, and not being fit, only open the door for health problems later. I'm working on closing that door.…
  • Wow. I need to stay away from these types of threads!! LOL. I'm 42, between 5'9 and 5'10. I'm currently 205 and my goal weight has always been around 175. My lowest weight (when I used scales) was 182. I felt good then, but knew I had room for more loss. I need to keep my eye on feeling good and looking good, because…
  • Erie, PA a.k.a inside a snow globe today. :)
  • Almost every morning my breakfast is: 30 g or so of dry oats 1 C. skim milk either: <100 g banana or around 120 g apple chopped .5 oz walnuts little vanilla extract packet of splenda Micro for 2 minutes or so. I like mine pretty wet, not thick. Holds me from about 6:30 am until noon.
  • Thanks! Same to you! I could do the 1200 calories, but it wasn't 'right' for me. It felt wrong, I was hungry most of the time, and I just knew it wouldn't be my lifetime change. I'm sure eventually I would have lost weight - if I'd stuck to it- but this feels much better. I believe I can do this for a lifetime, and isn't…
  • This is exactly what I was told by a Registered Dietician, and it has taken me from eating 1200 calories, not eating my exercise calories and losing maybe .5 lbs or gaining each week, to an average of 1.5 to 2 lbs per week loss while averaging 1350 net calories per day.
  • Congratulations!!! A lot of hard work, glad you are enjoying some pay off! Keep it up!!
  • Nuts are my downfall. A few weekends ago, I bought a can of mixed nuts thinking I could do servings sizes. Ate the whole can in a weekend. Thankfully it was the small can, 10 servings at 170 cals each. I'm sure the fate of the large can would have been the same. But they taste SO good!! Had a gain that week! LOL
  • How wonderful!! congrats!!
  • I'm 5'9 ish. Current bw is 205 and that is down 8 lbs since the beginning of the year, and 5 more before that in off and on attempts. I've done WW a gazillion times, and the first time when I truly followed it AND exercised it worked. I was down to 182. That is my lowest since high school that I noticed. My goal weight…
