Once you get into the groove, you wonder how you DIDN'T have time. There are so many little things you can do that really add up. I pre-prepare EVERYTHING. I have 2 crockpots, and I use one to make soup for lunches that lasts me all week, and the other to make shredded chicken (different low-cal sauce every week!). I…

16 pounds in 74 days (I've been very stop-start, but this is my longest streak!) Averaging 0.21 pounds per day, or about 1.5 pounds per week.

I sleep in my gym clothes, and pack my work clothes at night. That way I literally just walk out the door with everything I need, no "morning routine". Also, my wake up tone is Lets Dance by David Bowie, which I find to be a fun and inspiring way to wake up.

What kind of shoes do you wear?! I'd love to get to walking/jogging outside too. I've got warm running bottoms, and a jacket, but my feet are getting cold.

Try Black Cat Bikinis! They're a little $$$ but they're custom to your measurements and really really cute and retro! re: 160 being too fat for a bikini. HAHAHA. If it feels good, do it. I was 5'6, 205+ wearing a bikini. IDGAF. My jiggly bits like sunshine, just like the rest of me! I got compliments, but thats not the…

Your progress is inspiring! I can't wait to see your ultimate success. You remind me a lot of my dad, actually (although he is older than you). When I go home for thanksgiving, I want to show him your posts and hopefully the inspiration you have given to us, can rub off a little on him. I know it's incredibally difficult…

Back in college (2010), I bought a sheath dress "aspirationally" (it was a bit tight). After college my weight crept up and up until I finally started to make some changes. Well, tried it on today. It fits! And it looks good! Don't care that tomorrow is casual friday, I'm dressing up!

Cosign the above! I swim a lot, and basically everyone feels awkward in the pool. But we all still go, because swimming is HELLA FUN. Seriously, its the best. Plus it's super useful in just a basic skill sense. Everyone should know how to swim. Seriously, you got this. Just think how much fun you're going to have, and how…

Wow! Your starting weight and current weight are almost the exact same as mine! I started at 236, and am currently at 188 as well. I wish I had such visible results. You look great, and great job!!

Ditto on the "weigh yourself in the morning post-washroom". I like doing it, and recording because I'm a bit of a data geek, so the flucutations dont bother me too much. I keep MFP set to show me the last 3 months, that way even when I'm up a bit, I can reassure myself that the overall trend is DOWNWARDS. That said, I used…

I will look into vegan protein powders, I have no idea how that never occurred to me before. And adding more lean meats into my lunches. d6melanie -- I'm actually pretty good about pre-cooking, so I will for sure be trying this egg muffin suggestion. Also it sounds delicious. You all are so helpful, I love it!

Have you thought about those blinky bike lights? The ones that clip on? My roommate clips hers onto her back or her hood, and suggested that to me. I have seen her running around the neighborhood, when I drive home and personally I think she's more visible than the people wearing reflective gear, so I've started doing the…

Thanks guys! Morgiee_lynne, what brands/types of jerky do you reccomend?

This is so silly, but I like to listen to Adam Lambert at the gym. I pretend that if I work out hard enough, he'll become straight (hasn't happened yet! haha). Other than that, a lot of Girl Talk and Daft Punk for me.

Great Job!!!! I'm 5'6 with the same starting weight (236) but it took me WAAAY longer to lose 28 pounds. You look amazing, and the difference is totally noticable.

Just sent my request! this sounds amazing!

I try to plan around the inevitable. I also crave salty food and chocolate around that time of the month. Have you tried the chocolate-covered pretzels from Whole Foods (the Whole Foods 365 brand that comes in a bag)? 8 of those is 150 calories, which isnt too bad, and its very satisfying! You get around 4.5-5 servings per…

I currently have the fitbit flex -- LOVE it! I find it to be very accurate, and seeing it on my wrist when I'm sitting down is very motivating to get up and walk around a bit! I used to have the Polar Loop. Was not a fan. It's synching was glitchy and basically NEVER worked via wifi/bluetooth. Very bulky, terrible battery…

THIS! Everything about this. Double cosign the pre-prepared food stuff. It really helps me escape the trap of the breakfast pastry. #3 incremental changes are where its at. Plus it gives you little victories to feel good about when you're plateauing. Also: The best advice I ever heard was "forgive yourself." You said in…

One of the best tips I ever read about weight loss and fitness: "Forgive yourself." It happens to us all! Its not falling off the wagon that's important, it's getting back up! I'm also in my 20s and yeah, my friends like to go out and have a drink. *I* like to go out and have a drink. It really is all about moderation.…

Genuine Question from an ignorant person: Why is this silly/wrong? Or why are people saying "no"? I'm not new to MFP, but I've been stalled for awhile, (Losing 1-2 pounds a month, so not horribly stalled). Anyways, I'm cruising the boards looking for advice too, and thought I'd ask the question. Thanks in advance! EDIT:…

I don't know how formal this job is, but when I had my first job out of college here's what I did: -2 plain black pencil skirts (This one from Torrid http://www.torrid.com/torrid/Bottoms/Skirts/The+Pencil+Skirt-515611.jsp ) -As many shells/tank tops/plain v-neck tshirts as possible (Old Navy is pretty good for this…
