I am so sad I weigh in all the time and I mean all the time. I get up in the night to go to the bathroom and whip off my nightdress and step on the scales - how sad is that - BUT I don't care what anyone thinks if it works for you does it matter??

I'm 5lbs off my goal weight but will definitely continue a 6:1 regime when I get there, mainly for the health benefits ie hoping to be off my BP medication soon!

It is not a quick fix diet, the…

You really should be eating more than 1200 cals on your non fast days. Michael Mosley recommends around 2000 cals, I eat just a bit less than my TDEE.

On 5:2, so only hungry 2 days a week!

Brilliant! Don't you just love 5:2? !!

This time you really are eating for two! Congratulations on the birth of your baby and your decision and success in breastfeeding.

I have been doing the 5:2 diet since March, it is easily the best diet I have every tried as it is sustainable. My diary is open so take a look at what I eat. Plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables and yes, some cake! Look at the 5:2 group on MFP and Google Michael Mosley Fast diet. It works! Very popular in the UK.

Shock of my life when I weighed out 40 gms of cashews (about a handful) and discovered that it was over 300 calories!

There is a 5:2 group on here with lots of advice and support, also google Dr Michael Mosley fast diet. Slow but sure weight loss. I've been doing it since March and it doesn't feel as though you are on a diet!

5:2 intermittent fasting is eating normally or maintenance for 5 days a week then restricting your calories to 500 cals for a woman, 600 for a man on the other 2 days which can be consecutive or non consecutive. There is a lot of misunderstanding about the concept of 5:2 on MFP. All I can say is it works for me and it is…

I eat up to and around 1850/2000 calories on five days a week and 500 cals on two days a week but I'm doing the 5:2 diet which I find is sustainable. It works, my diary is open.

My diary is open, I'm doing the 5:2 IF and am having great success. I log every day, today is a non fast day and I eat up to and around 1700 calories but don't beat myself up about it if I go way over! This way of eating is going to be a new way of life for me!

There is fasting and intermittent 5:2, which is a completely different concept. I have been on the 5:2 IF diet since March 2013 and I can honestly say it is the ONLY diet plan that has ever worked for me (I am 63 years old and have tried a lot! Read Dr Michael Mosley's book. 5:2 dieting has took off in the UK big time,…

My daughter had anorexia in her twenties and now thankfully has recovered although still very slim. She looks in the mirror and sees a fat person - body dysmorphia I think is what they call it. Me, on the other hand, has reverse body dysmorphia. I really didn't see the fatter person that I'd become, not until I saw photos…

As I always say there is always tomorrow!

Mine is open but I'm a 5:2 IF dieter and it works for me so I don't want any criticism!

There are loads of peops from the UK on here. Look at "Find Members" on the bar at the top and put your location and age etc in. Good luck on your journey by the way!

Overweight acquaintances discussing my weight loss then looking pointedly at me and saying they don't like scraggy necks!
-
I thought MFP was a support group and most of what I have read on this post is criticism! I am disappointed! You know who you are!

Salad ingredients in the UK mean vegetables!

I've been on the 5:2 diet since March. In that time I've lost 16lbs, which I am very pleased about. I've been away on holiday and not worried about what I was eating whilst away and just started again when I returned. I eat 500 calories on my fast days, which are usually Monday and Thursday, then on my non fast days I eat…

I've lost 15lbs since March 2013 following the 5:2 diet, which is the easiest and most effective diet plan I've ever used (I'm 63 and I've tried all sorts over the years).
