I'll be joining in!

I managed to work in Level 3 Day 5 this afternoon. Only 5 more workouts to go!
-
Today I did Level 3 Day 4. I can see a light at the end of the tunnel!
-
Level 3, Day 3 is done! BOOM! Also, I got in two sessions of jumping rope (one before and one after the 30DS workout) for a total of 31 minutes. Also, I agree with olalola1981 in regards to measurements. I've only lost a pound or two, and maybe...just maybe an inch here or there, but I am seeing drastic changes in my…

I agree about the jump lunges. My knees are really sore today after doing L3 for the 1st time yesterday. I'll probably modify those for now. The other move that was BURNING for me was the sumo squats with a jump (or plie's if you prefer to call them that.) I have my new copy of Ripped in 30 DVD and I would be happy to move…

We seem to be losing some folks...or at least they are not posting here anymore. Who needs a little MOTIVATION? Okay, well...I'm going to give it to you! --If this 47 year-old woman can do The 30 Day Shred, YOU can do it too! --If this mother of 7 (yes, 7 pregnancies and deliveries) can do The 30 Day Shred,…

So jealous! I still have 2 days of Level 2 to go.

Level 2 Day 7 is done. This was probably my worse workout so far. Either I am coming down with something, or I need a rest and recovery day. I felt so blah...but I did it anyway! So who is planning on torturing themselved by doing "Ripped in 30" after they finish 30 Day Shred? I saw it at WalMart yesterday for…
-
Of course it means something. It means YOU ARE SHRINKING!
-
As much as I hate to admit it, I get just as excited as the next gal when the numbers on my scale head down...so I am preaching to myself as well when I tell you all: IGNORE THAT STUPID SCALE! What does it know about the wonderful, healthy things you are doing for your body??? Can the scale measure how much fat you are…

Dying? The only thing dying is ME after Jillian makes me do all those blasted plank moves!!! But seriously...keep posting! I'll be here til the bitter end even if it kills me!

As you've already seen, there are lots of definitions for "clean eating." However, I think most people will agree that "clean" means eating foods that are minimally processed and close to their natural state. Beyond that, you will get lots of variations. For one person it may mean eating only raw fruits and veggies. For…

Day 14 (Level 2, Day 4) is DONE for me! And...drumroll please...I did NOT have to use any of the modified moves this time. BOOYAH!
-
Wow! Great job so far! You should really be proud of yourself! Don't fret it too much. This is rather normal. Give your body a little time to adjust. I am a firm believer that if a person continually makes healthy choices, their body WILL respond! If you are doing low-intensity endurance style training, you would probably…

Way to go, folks! Keep your eyes on the prize! Today I did my 3rd day of Level 2. This level has LOTS of moves that are in plank position -- killer! I also got a looooong walk in with my hubby. We did 95 minutes including some hill climbing.

Never heard of a runner's high? Wow! Most scientists believe it is caused by a release of endorphins that happens when we exercise. I can remember it happening in my younger days when I was a bit of a runner. I'd be plodding along and suddenly BAM! It was like I had hit a groove...the rhythm was mesmerizing. I felt…

I feel this way too...especially when doing Level 1 in the later days. In fact, when I did Day 9 and Day 10 of Level 1 last week, I actually felt so good that I did the Level 2 workout right afterwards!
-
I feel your pain! I can do squats till the cows come home...all my strength has historically been in my lower body. Those anterior (shoulder) raises are killer! But, if it is any encouragement, it WILL get better and you WILL get stronger! I've been working on my upper body strength and I can now do "real" push-ups. Also,…
-
I've decided you really don't need the video for Level 2...just get into a plank position and stay there until you feel like you are going to die! But seriously, Jillian, in circuit 3, what sort of evil devil possessed you to think that right after doing presses and v-flies, when my shoulders are ready to fall off,…
-
Alot of people here enter The 30 Day Shred workout using "circuit training.' That's what I do too.
-
I'm the one who joined in this group even though I'm ahead of you guys on the workout. So here I am to encourage you all!! I did Level 1 Day 10 today...and Jillian isn't lying. Day 10 seems almost "easy" compared to Day 1!…

Believe it or not, I've also been trying to up my calories (but in a healthy way.) Most days I've been successful at it. I really think only eating 1200-1400 calories was sticking me in a plateau as well. I know it seems counterintuitive, but I've noticed more than once that when I up my calories I drop some weight. Go…

In my mind, David is saying to me: : Pound lost? Oh yes! I have been stuck in Plateausville for almost the entire month of October. Sure, it might go down a little, but then popped right back up again. Well, I've gotten the same number 3 days in a row, so I am calling it "official!" Plateau is broken and I am at the lowest…

It all depends on your current strength levels. For some people, 2 lb. dumbbells are all they can handle. Others need 25 lbs or more! I have a range that I use depending on the move and the reps. For instance, when I am doing The 30 Day Shred workout, for some of the moves, I have to use super light weights (2 lbs.) and 5…

Took a ride on the Crazy Train today...did my Day 9 of Level 1, then decided to watch Level 2 to remind me what is coming next...and ended up DOING the Level 2 workout as well. Got a bad feeling tomorrow morning is not going to be pretty!
-
Shredded means well defined muscles especially in the arms and abs. It also means to be absurdly sore, total muscle melt down. Definitions taken from Urban Dictionary.
-
Hey! Just wondering, is it okay if I join in, even though I am almost through Level 1 of the Shred? You could think of me as your "scout" who has gone out ahead of you to spy out the territory! I started it on Monday, October 21, but I took the weekend as "recovery days" so I am only on Day 9 today. Here are my…

I injured my back doing this workout in the past and I am pretty sure it was all the planks that did it! Just a reminder to everyone...there is a difference between that pain that says, "Great workout!" and the pain that says, "You're injuring yourself!" Yes, it's Halloween. And yes, I'm trying to SCARE you! But…

Level 1 day 7 is in the bag. Booyah!
