Hi everyone! Today is my first day on the 5:2 plan and I'm excited! This plan really makes sense to me and I think it will fit in my lifestyle well. I have fasted before so I know what to expect and the first day of a fast is not usually very difficult for me, so I think intermittent fasting will work great for me. I…

I love my wine but I have not had a drop for 4 weeks. I'm not having any refined sugar either but that's a whole other story. I agree it's difficult to have just one glass, it's just so yummy and for me it leads to more snacking or chocolate. Cutting out the wine & sugar has helped me I've been loosing a steady this past…

I forgot about SeaSnax, they are yummy! I just thought of a good one pickles. Now I'm getting inspired!

I wish I liked olives

Not sure of your point here. Anyway, I'm looking for snack ideas without sugar, do you have any?
-
So, I'm not sure if I agree with sugar is sugar theory, as with fruits you are also getting fiber and vitamins and minerals. But with that being said I'm not loading up on fruits either, I'm trying to keep it to two servings a day. Off topic, I recently read an interesting article, regarding are all calories created equal.…

Thank you for the positive feedback and sharing! I've already noticed changes in a little over two weeks of no refined sugar or alcohol. I'm sleeping so soundly and my skin is clearer and less red. These are positive motivators to keep on track

I love these ideas! Thanks!

No offence taken...my acupuncturist is actually an MD as well. So I believe I am getting very good care and advice. I've done a lot of research on my own and I am trying to address a health issue and acupuncture methods have proven to be very effective in my case, so I am giving it a go to avoid drugs or other procedures.

Thanks for all the ideas - please keep them coming. I am a dark chocolate lover & I asked my acupuncturist about having small quantities and he nixed that idea as not only does it still contain sugar it has caffeine as well. I was a bit bummed to say the least but this is a temporary situation. I should be able to…

You're doing great! Feel free to add me, I'm a daily logger. I'm experiencing a slight plateau & need encouragement too!

So, I love my wine a lot. Most vacations that my husband & I go on involve going to different wine regions, etc. On average my hubby & I would split a bottle of wine 3 - 5 times a week. For the first 2 months of the year I was sick with the flu & colds and didn't have any alcohol for a good 6 weeks. I lost about 5 pounds…

Love this! I quickly raided my closet a couple of weeks ago and found a few new items to wear but this post inspired me to have a more thorough look through. This morning I "bought" a half a dozen shirts, 4 skirts and a dress! I still need to go through my pants, hopefully I will find something there as well. I have a lot…

So how's everyone doing? Since I started on MFP 16 days ago, I've lost 5.5 lbs! I love this community! I've been logging my food faithfully, it's keeping me on track. I am doing Reformer Pilates twice a week, which I love and for cardio I'm walking and using the elliptical trainer.

I'm in, I just signed up with MFP today, I'm at 224.5. I have lost around 12 lbs prior to joining. This is the motivation I need! I am going on an Alaskan cruise for my 20th wedding anniversary at the end of May and to be under 200 by then would be awesome!
