  • I tried it for a month when I decided to start losing weight... Thought it would be an easier route to get me used to eating less... I did lose weight but got bored of them really quickly... I sometimes still use a shake as a breakfast replacement if I'm in a hurry, or at lunch time.... It's not for everyone but I don't…
  • Tami! Wow! I could feel the energy and positivity coming out of what you wrote! Good for you! Long may it continue (though please be careful!) Jen - have a fabulous time away thawing! I'm up for giving Rach's challenge a go - what's an up and down though?! Having a crappy day today - went to a farm with the kids yesterday…
  • Thank you Hanna xx Weighed myself this morning and am down another 2.2lbs! Woohoo! Now to keep it off! Down to 263.2lbs so hopefully if I keep going this way I WILL make it to the 250s by the end of August!
  • My review is on the 17th August.... Shaun (OH) is coming with me so that's a relief... Thanks for you words Rach, I think I will ask to speak to someone... Just to get the worries off my chest to a 3rd party.... I've spoken to my mum but at the end of the day she's a bit biased! Just been going through cliches in my head -…
  • Hi Rach... I think if you're finding level 1 a breeze then try level 2... I think the unwritten rule is like you say - 10 days level 1, 10 days level 2, 10 days level 3 but I think that's to ease you into it a bit... You could try skipping level 1 altogether? or doing level 1 and then level 2 straight after? Play around…
  • Hanna - this is true - TOM is looming so maybe the weight will be down again soon! Haven't done any exercise today bar exercising the brain! Have joined an online language course so help me with my Spanish so have been doing that all morning... Think I'll take my son for a walk in a bit - bit of gentle walking and fresh…

  • Woo hoo! I'm off to stock up on chocolate milk!!
  • I've just realised we're half way through our 10 weeks and was thinking maybe we should do a mid-challenge measure in? What does everyone think?
  • Rach - have you checked down the back of the sofa? Or even under it? I'm forever using a big stick to hook things out from under there that have been lost for ages! Failing that it's probably with mine, living it up somewhere idyllic... *kitten*. Was happy to see a loss on the scales this morning! And in 2 days at that!…
  • Open Tuesday.... Can't think of anything other than what I've already posted about this week - the scale moving in the wrong direction! Why does it go on so easy and be sooooo hard to get off again! I KNOW I've not been 100% good over the past month but I didn't think it was 5lbs worth of bad! AND I've been exercising!…
  • Thanks peeps... Didn't realise my breakfast was that bad and then I see that twice in the last week I've only had coffee... I usually have weetabix (wheat biscuits) or museli though so that's ok isn't it? With fruit? And yes i see you what you're saying about eating better calories not just fitting them in! Will see what…
  • Thats it... I'm officially fed up. Up to 267 again. What is going on??? Feel like just crying and giving up... I don't understand how this can happen... Guess I've got to stick to my changes of putting my cals up and hope to see an improvement next week...
  • My personal challenge this week is to lose weight!!
  • Thanks for you suggestions peeps... I was toying with upping my calories again (mfp recalculates when you lose and as I've put on weight I think I should go back up some cals...) So I've upped them to 1500 and changed my carb/protein/fat percentages to 30/40/30.... Am going to see if that makes any difference.... I've got…
  • @Tami - that's so good that you're now able to deal with your past... Congrats! I'm cross, I'm fed up and I just want to give up... Ok I know I havent been 100% perfect food wise over the last couple of months but I think I deserve SOME weight loss?? I've exercised my *kitten* off and STILL the scale won't budge... Whats…
  • Hello! I'm back from my little road trip to Kent! Had a fab time catching up with my cousin and meeting her son and daughter and her OH... Am back on the wagon as of tomorrow!
  • hmmmmm swap.... I swapped doing 30ds for listening to my body and NOT doing 30ds!! I put my arms up to start the warm up and everything yelled "STOP!!!" So I listened and stopped! Clearly I need a rest day... Tomorrow I'll be sat in the car for a 6 hour journey from my home to Kent to see my Auntie graduate in Canterbury…
  • I like incline walking and it would seem I have done some incline interval inadvertently! Will be trying out your method next time I'm in the gym for a cardio session though Courtney.... Oh and I'll DEFINITELY be trying that salsa stoup! Sounds delicious! Going to pass the recipe on to my veggie friend too!
  • The quinoa I've used is a grain a bit like cous cous? So yes the 100s and 1000s one is probably the right one to use for salads... I have a great chicken quinoa curry recipe actually.... I think I posted it in a thread sometime ago... I've just dug it out so... 1 tbsp oil or 10 sprays fry light 2 chicken breasts, cubed 1…
  • It's Friday so it can only be R - Recipes/Food ideas! I made some lovely cupcakey things for a friend's party a few weeks ago just using a cake mix and a can of pepsi max.... They were a bit sticky but tasted great! The topping was delish too - extra light soft cheese (philadelphia) with chocolate melted into it... Could…
  • Courtney - when you say treadmill incline intervals what do you mean? Do you just increase the incline every minute or so or how does it work? Sounds like something I'd like to try x I went over cals tonight.... It was my son's last day at school before the holidays so my dad treated us to a mcdonalds and I had a big mac…
  • We have school holidays for 6 weeks now... Should be able to fit gym and classes in around my son being home but it's going to be tricky! By the end of the 6 weeks I may be in the corner chewing my own toenails....
  • I should get back into wii zumba - I bought it and think I've used it once?! Same with my wii sports active 2.... Did one full challenge and then haven't done it since - should really get on it again....
  • No problem Jenni - will do the reminder tomorrow.... E for Exercise... Well I guess I've been keepin on with the kettlehell and boxercise... You all know I love the boxercise... I strongly advise everyone to find a local class and give it a go... It's so much fun and you get to hit things! Bonus! The hour passes so…
  • So good to have you back lady! Here's to the next 5 months and beyond! xxx
  • Just wanted to nip in and say I  you guys!!! This has got to be the BEST group on mfp!!!
  • Go Jen Go! If I had a cheerleader outfit I would don it and cheer you on from my living room! You'll be so proud of yourself if you manage it but don't tire yourself too much or you'll be out of action tomorrow! You really are amazing! Gimmie a 'J'! Gimmie an 'E'! Gimmie an 'N'! LOL!! And once you're done you DEFINITELY…
  • Katie! Welcome back! Hope you're doing good! If you could send me your starting weight and measurements that would be awesome... and also get some photos of yourself as we'll be doing measurements and photos again at the end of the challenge so we can see the difference in our before and after... Really liked reading your…
  • I think the point of the 30ds is you do it for 30 days straight.... Though I've never managed it! Nor managed to get last level 2!! I have a HRM so I don't know what YOu'd log it as on here but circuit training sounds about right ... Good luck!
