  • Hit and miss with this stuff, I've bought some that is really expensive and tastes like chalk. Then one day I just bought the chocolate brand from Wal-Mart and it tastes GREAT, probably the best I've had and it's pretty cheap at 23$ a tub!!! Quite impressed with it! :D
  • It's freaking bad!!! So bad I gave up on trying to get it below the limit. Luckily at this time I have no health problems that cause me to reduce it. I don't add it to anything except when I have a salad, and don' t add that much to it either and my daily "limit" is always blown away. IT'S IN EVERYTHING!!!! :(
  • I agree, this site is great but falling behind the times. Adding pics to your threads should be WAY easier than imbedding them like you have to now as well... what a pain!

  • Went to a few gyms for awhile and found most of them SUCK. Waiting for machines, guys yapping on them instead of training, etc. Turned my basement into a home gym and haven't looked back. If your motivation is low, I'd join a gym for a bit and see how you hold up then go with home gear if you can swing it. I have a…
  • 25 lbs in two months is not that bad. I lost 65 in about 3 months and didn't find it as hard as I thought. Just a matter of discipline. Watch the diet and start moving is all it takes. 2 lbs a week is considered the "gold" standard for goals though and is a good place to start. Try that at first and if it goes well,…
  • Current = Stunning!!!
  • Anybody can add me, I'm on here everyday and pretty yappy! :D
  • You mean how many burned by lifting weights...? Way too many variables to count them, that's why MFP doesn't show a burn in when you record your lifting workout. If you keep track of your heart rate during the workout though, you could probably estimate how many, but keeping a consistent heart rate with lifting weights is…
  • Don't have to sweat, but it's a good sign! :) Three sets of each exercise to failure and just that euphoric feeling after the heavy lifts then I know it's been a good session, that and a general "ache" all the time in my body = good! :D
  • My daughter got one at about 10. I found it handy to have just to stay in touch. She's 15 now and I still pay for her cell phone but the deal is that she has to keep a tracking app on so I know where she is. She's OK with that and I have fewer concerns with knowing where she's at! :)

  • Everybody is different. I work out in the evening, usually around 7 with two hours of lifting then rest 30 minutes then end the day with 30 minutes of cardio. Usually done by 10 pm and go to bed at 11. Sleep like a baby. Buddie of mine can't do that. He revs up too much and has the same problem you do. Problem is he likes…
  • I worked shifts for years.. 12 hours at 2 days/2 nights and then 4 off. Thank god I don't anymore because it sucks the big one and you're right it's hard to stay motivated (ask me now I know... :( ) but can be done. I mostly worked out on my 4 days off and one of my scheduled work days. Transition days and night shifts I…
  • Was opposite for me, I was over 250 at max slob weight, my wife was about 135 and stays there pretty rock steady. I was in really good shape when we were dating and when we got married. She never said anything about my weight when I was heavy  , but I know she's happier now with me being healthy again! Awesome woman,…
  • I lost 65 in three months so yes...

  • It's pretty normal. I had the same issues on the elliptical but not while running which is funny. I got orthopedics that helped (custom made but they are not cheap) but now instead of after 30 minutes it starts at maybe 45. Just the nature of the beast I think. We weren't really designed to be on machines I guess. I…
  • Everything I've been told about long distance running with dogs is NOT to do it. Very bad on most breeds! :( Only a few are capable of it. We're not talking about a few km's here, that won't hurt them, but unless you have a husky or some other long distance breed it's apparently very hard on them, at least jogging or…
  • Oh...my....GAWD!!! You look awesome!!! Lucky fella! Congrats on your marriage! :D
  • That's great. You ARE burning fat, the muscle you are building weights more so as you lift your actual weight might not change much but the fat is going down! :)
  • Although it's got a bad rep I use sucralose a lot instead of sugar. Better than aspartame or the other artificial stuff IMHO. I use to be a soda hound but found when I stopped drinking it I lost the taste for it. Still have a diet Pepsi once in a while but now I can't drink a regular soda, I find it tastes like syrup and…
  • I LOVE the whey protein from Wal-Mart... The cheap stuff too, has 25 grams of protein per scoop and cost about 23$ for a tub. I've had the expensive stuff and still like this stuff more. It mixes well and goes down smooth. Some of the pricier stuff I've had mixes like garbage and always seems "gritty" no matter how much…
  • Depends on the sub... I have it all the time. Ham sub on whole wheat with just cheese, veggies and mustard. 12" has about 500 cals which is fine. When you start adding mayo and other junk it gets pretty calorie heavy though...
  • You're over thinking this... I was diagnosed early last year and anything below 5.7 is NOT diabetes but you are right on the line... I had yearly checks and I went from 5.3 to 7.8 in one year. My body was a mess. I weighed almost 250lbs and had zero exercise and ate nothing but crap. I had let myself go for the last 10…
  • Last song that I had on during my workout was "Beautiful Day" by Marcia Juell... Holy Crap she's hot!!!
  • I had pizza for lunch! Ate a small one so it wasn't too bad but still about 1200 calories!!! :( Made up for it by having a salad for supper and going a bit harder on the cardio tonight. After the dust cleared I'm only off my daily intake by about 50 calories, but man am I HUNGRY now!!! Stupid pizza...cry!
