You could cut down and start with 1/4 mile a day at first until you get used to it. My physical therapist said I should only increase in small amounts. He gave me a percentage, but I can't remember what it was--I think it was 5 percent. When I was first starting to exercise, I started at 5 minutes on the exercise bike and…

I have over 100 lbs to lose and am starting with about a 34 lb goal. So far I've lost 10 lbs, but I don't have a scale so I'm not sure how I'm doing now. I have a hard time with desserts, especially cookies. I'm also finding it difficult to stay within the sodium levels.

I agree with those who say you are probably eating too little for your exercise amount. Have you checked what MFP thinks your calorie level should be? What I've done is set a weight goal that is about 25 lbs, even though I need to lose much more than that. Once I get to that goal, then I will set another. That allows me…

You are probably eating fewer calories because of cutting out gluten and refined sugars.

Back before I gained weight I was 5' 7" and weighed 145 lb at my lowest which I consider an appropriate amount to weigh. How much are you trying to lose? It is very difficult to lose weight when you only have a couple pounds to lose. Keep up the exercise; you're doing great!

I don't usually go to sleep before midnight, so I just put any calories after midnight on the next day. As long as I don't go overboard, it works out fine. I often eat cereal at bedtime or cherries. They seem to help me sleep.

SW: (Starting weight March 2014) 293.4 CW: (Current weight) 288.2 GW: (Goal weight for the month) 283.2 Weigh in Dates: Start of Month…

There has been research that shows that using too much artificial sweetener can cause overeating and lead to diabetes. However, I suspect if you drink in moderation, there won't be a problem. Moderation is the key to any diet.

It is difficult to eat a healthy diet while avoiding all gluten. I agree that it would be best for you to be tested. Best gluten-free snacks: fruits and vegetables.

If you want to be healthy, lift weights. Just do everything in moderation. Lifting weights not only strengthens your muscles but it helps give you stronger bones. It's better to do several reps on lighter weights then it is to do a couple reps on heavier weights--unless you want to be a professional weight -lifter. Some…

Just to be practical--you really have to eat 3500 calories to gain a pound; As others have said--start over tomorrow. I don't always go under my calorie goal, but I try not to let a bad day get me down. Keep recording--you can do it!

Declawing a cat is akin to cutting off fingers in a person. I agree with two of the suggestions: lock your cat up at night or whenever the child is sleeping and use the claw covers. Eventually your cat will probably get used to the child or else the child will grow up:) If you just get a new kitten, you don't know the…
