Store d'oeuvres? Were we supposed to be logging those? Uh oh! Kidding. Thanks to my gluten and dairy intolerance I can't touch those things with a 9 foot pole. Oh but I do know my store's wine tasting peeps!

I was just about to say this. Well unless you know the density of an item you can not convert volume into weight. I think that there are calcs for water, but we know the density of water.

Oh my goodness! Too, too funny. Hiya Peggy!

This is a great attitude to have. Remember to drink extra water today to help your body remove sodium from your excesses of yesterday.

A friend of mine did the green smoothie challenge and gained 5 unwanted pounds by drinking a lot more fruit than she needed. She even had her smoothies as meal replacements. Of course she said she also put avocado in there! Yum though. Enjoy your fruit but weigh and log it to get an idea of how many calories you are…

If you gained 2 inches around your waist you would definitely feel it in your pants. How are they fitting? if the same or looser than it's a matter of measurement error.
-
+1 more!
-
Oh my goodness, but hey it could be a new accusation for people to throw out there when weight loss stalls or is nonexistent. "Have you considered your intake of semen?"

Heavy lifting.

This but instead of cereal read wine! Yes I weigh everything. Do remember to weigh the meat before it is cooked rather than after. That's the only thing I have been doing incorrectly (I hope).

After 3 weeks of no weight loss I started measuring my body. I haven't lost inches since measuring and truthfully my clothes fit the same. I did notice however that my arms and stomach seem more defined, but that isn't empirical evidence now is it? I don't want to start crying to the boards because I know that people will…

Oh my goodness my head hurts from trying to follow this whole thread. Looks like there is a wealth of information out there. So let me throw myself out there. I have been weighing my food and logging for about 42 days. I've tallied the calories up and divided by the number of days logged. I come up with 1600 calories per…

Very nice. I love seeing the results from women lifting.
-
Seriously, this! All the women I see posting before and after photos on here who do stronglifts or other compound lifts have pretty tight tummies. I plan on starting my lifting program this week.
-
Amazing work and it is great to read about how you have prioritized you and those you love in your life. Keep it up.

Just drink the water.

If you set up your myfitnesspal account correctly you probably specified how many pounds a week you wanted to lose. This means that when it gives you your exercise calories you can eat them back and still lose. So eat all of it.

I've often wondered what a vegetarian person with PCOS should eat. It seems that you are supposed to keep your carbohydrate intake relatively low and protein high, but all the veggie sources of protein are bound with high amount of carbs. Definitely stay away from tofu as much as possible and other sources of soy in…

Somebody should also point out to you that you didn't lose 4.5 pounds of fat in one week either. Some was fat but most of it was water in glycogen. I remember the first time I ever went on south beach. I lost 7 pounds in the first 2 days. One again, glycogen and water!
-
Thank you very much. I wish I had a gif for that. Heck I just wish I knew where you all got gifs!
-
You lost 6 pounds the first 8 days and gained 2 back this week. This is a normal weight fluctuation do to any or all of the following: water, glycogen and food weight itself. It sounds like you are losing and doing everything well. Keep calm and carry on.

I'm interested in your gluten free protein sources. Other than legumes and what not, what are they? I was over at a vegan friend's house and hungry. Everything with protein in it that she offered me had gluten in it. So I just ate veggies and fruit.
-
Hah! Too funny.
-
If you are only eating 500 calories a day your body is holding on to some serious water. Low calorie diets=water retention.
-
I just looked it up and is it true that you only eat 600 calories the first few days? Uh oh. I feel some crazy gifs coming on.....

This!

I didn't know that about the Katch-McArdle. That's good to know.
-
Omma to 3, how was your BMR tested? I'd like to get mine tested, that's why I am asking.
-
Ok I used your calculator and it gives two very different BMR numbers for you. One is the Harris-Benedict Formula and it specifies your BMR at 1898. The other formula it used is the Katch-McArdle and it read as follows: Based on the information you provided, body fat percentage of 58.1%, you have a lean body mass of 99…

Based on your body fat percentage on this calculator, your BMR is only 1295. http://www.naturalphysiques.com/20/basal-metabolic-rate-bmr
