You know this might be your perception based on passed threads because the OP sounded like a genuine question and not bashing the US at all. The USA is such an influential country in so many ways that people who don't live there are genuinely curious. Don't always mistake that curiosity for bashing.

Or mars bar version. Melt a couple of Mars bars, add rice crispies. Sorted

Yep, a man in drag also puts em off. OP tell them you know how to insert a urinary catheter, and then go into graphic detail such as prostatic bed trauma. If that doesn't put them off nothing will

Seriously I think it's better for people not to engage with that one. Huge issues there beyond the scope of the average MFP member

What you are describing is postural hypotension for which there are a number of causes. An easy way to confirm is to find your radial pulse (the one in your wrist) while you are lying down. Now if it's easy to find and feels nice and strong you know that your systolic blood pressure (the top number) is above 90. Keep your…

He could but he would have to actually spend sometime away from work to get the chance to look :grumble:

The squat is certainly not the most appropriate exercise for this situation. Next time go for the snatch OP

If this is as a result of medication you need to discuss this with your doctor, do not take supplements particularly potassium without medical advice.

I totally agree with you about post PE teacher stress disorder! Particularly in Britain in the 70s and 80s. I think that's my problem I'm traumatised from being forced to play hockey in the snow in a gym skirt and being laughed at by the teacher for being uncoordinated. My husband grew up in Australia and sailed, surfed…

I tolerate it because I know I need to do it but I certainly don't love it. I lift, run, hill walk, yoga and swim in the summer but I don't get a huge amount of pleasure out of it. I think the only thing I've ever tried that I could learn to love would be kayaking but as I live an hour from the nearest body of water I only…

Darth Vader - Dave Prowse who played him in the first, proper movies. Robbie Williams - used to hang about roller blading outside my office when he was just getting famous.

We are on our second treadmill and wore the first one out. We don't live in an area that is conducive to running outside, and my husband rehabbed a knee injury by walking on a steep incline. If you are likely to use it go for it, otherwise as other have said it ends up as a clothes rack

So you have a liquor store where they give you donuts? Where do I need to move to?

That statistic is the US which is not the sole representative of the West. I am in Australia which has the fastest growing rate of obesity in the world and stands at 28%. I'm originally from the UK which has similar stats to the USA but is the heaviest in Europe., leaving a lot of Europeans who are lighter. In addition…

I think being on this site and others like it can skew your world view that everyone has or has had a weight problem at some point. Whilst obesity is a growing and significant problem still the majority of people on the planet, even in the west, are not obese or overweight. The majority of those people do not calorie count…

Which bs are you referring to? The original quote referring to alkalising diets or my badly worded rant about why the concept of alkalising diets are nonsense? I admit I didn't express it very well.
-
Well of course you don't, you wouldn't be a scientist if you did believe everything. That's why there are very few Laws or Theories but lots of hypothesises

For anyone else reading this and thinking that quackery poses no significant risk I recommend the following http://whatstheharm.net/scientificstudies.html

Seriously if I read this bull on here one more time I am going to have a tantrum. Your body has a very carefully monitored system of keeping neutral. Vegetarianisim or in fact any diet is not going to change that. I am currently monitoring the arterial blood gas of a patient who had a cardiac arrest this morning and seeing…

We watched it last night and my son was bouncing with excitement towards the end. It made me think I may be old and a lot bigger but one day soon I WILL do a chin up
