  • I had shin splints a while ago. I walked on the treadmill and found the speed I could tolerate without pain and then just upped the incline to give me aerobic benefits. I did not do any other exercises while I had this problem. Perhaps you need to do lower impact exercises or just the treadmill. New shoes may help as well.
  • I use a "Crunch" dvd that combines yoga and pilates. I like it because the women in the background are all different shapes and sizes and the instructor has one of them modify the exercises for beginners.
  • I have 2 children, 15 & 13, and have about 50 pounds to lose. I don't blame the pregnancies anymore but am very busy working full-time and being a taxi to my boys. I lack the motivation to exercise after a busy day and hope this site (and some friends) will give me the encouragement I need. Let's do this!!!
