My dad who has been in the hospital, has been moved out of bed and is sitting up and eating a bit today (big improvement) The day is bright and beautiful, I have a wonderful family and feel blessed everyday.

I'm on 1200 calories a day, and seem to be maintaining ok. I am not drinking any alcohol at this time and that seems to be making the difference...miss my wine a little, but losing weight is more important to me right now!

New Radicals "You get what you Give"...so true.

I have bad knees too, I'm in my 40's and no longer can run very far or long. But walking, swimming, and yoga are all very good for you and for weightloss. Do what you can within reason, be patient and kind to yourself. The weight will come off in time and your knees will begin to feel better as a result. :)

Don't give up, you're still doing something good for your body by tracking and being more mindful. Things will start to happen. I like LaddyBoys response and will remember that as I continure tracking. Undereating is not the answer. Good luck :)

To much mindless eating (love salty snack foods) and drinking (wine) and using my achy knees as an excuse not to do more cardio.

Welcome!! You're not alone here...lots of support if you want it. The main thing is to LOVE yourself in the process and be kind with how you treat your body from here on in. You can do this. The past is the past, everyday is a New Day to start over and do better than the last.
-
Welcome...you can add me!

I am 5'2, 44 years old. My current weight is 140. I would like to get back to 120. I was happy at that weight and have been lower, but feel 120-125 would be ideal for me now. I am concerned being an apple shape, and carrying more weight in the waist. I find it hard to get to a healthy proportion, and need to lose more…
