Just don't let it creep into next week or the week after that and you'll be fine. Back to it!

I sometimes do a little improve pilates type things... leg scissors, etc.

I agree with @SaraJane112 . Run every day if you are feeling it, but if you're feeling sluggish take a day off. I mostly do every other day, but every body is different.

These are chestnuts, not water chestnuts. (Not that chestnuts are bad for you either! You just have to watch your portions.) Water chestnuts are high in fiber and can help fill you up. They also have potassium and vitamin B-6. I think they're a great addition to your meal!

Make sure you add some protein to it. If I don't, I end up starving! I like a handful of nuts or some hardboiled eggs. A lot of time I'll just make a salad the side to whatever I was eating anyway. It makes meal planning so easy if you never have to think about sides! Any way you can add more veggies in is good!!

Awesome! BEST feeling! Keep the NSVs rollin'...

Bulk it up with veggies and protein!

I started out at 180! I got down to 148, but started slacking off and have gained about 10 back. You can do it!
-
Awesome! Thanks!!

Brilliant! I like adding cinnamon instead of sugar, and/or various dried fruits.

I feel like MFP gives low numbers for the calorie count. Try 1500 and see how you do, but I would think you'd actually need more than that. I'm a smallish woman and I'm still losing at 1600.

I like the idea of of vest. I don't want to stick it on my belt because it will slap up against my leg. Ew. But yeah, I can put the pooch to work!

"My advice would be to start out with practice runs to get him used to what you want him to do. It's frustrating when you are trying to get your workout in and trying to train the dog at the same time. Get him trained to do what you want then do your workouts together. I use a command to let my dogs know when it is time to…

So maybe I just need to embrace the goofiness!

I started scheduling my workouts for first thing in the morning on the weekends, and it really helped. I'd usually take Sunday off, but when I was running, I would do my long runs on Saturday. It helped in a couple of ways. I was less likely to overdo it Friday night knowing that I had to get up early on Saturday. Once I…

Yoga's really helped me with mine. I like the RaviAna videos, and they have some suggestions for particular workouts to try. Of the ones listed here, I've only done the rag doll, but it does feel good: https://www.raviana.com/content/sciatica

Cool, thanks guys. We'll see how it goes!

I have a diabetic friend who was told to cut back on carbs and lost a lot of weight very quickly doing so, and has kept it off. If carbs are something you have a problem with, scaling back for a while will probably help your weight loss! Just make sure that when/if you add them back in you don't go hog wild, and continue…

Ha! Well that's okay then! Be warned, though, it may happen. That's where I lost first too. I don't miss them though! ;)
-
Well, you know, not a problem for all runners either. ;)

Ha!

We've actually done training and he is generally great on the leash. It's just something about the excitement of running. He goes nuts and thinks it's a free-for-all! Hahaha Maybe it's time for a refresher.
-
Sprints a great idea too. We've periodically worked some into our walks, but maybe that can be our "thing." He really does seem to like running. He just gets too excited! I'd like to get back to distances myself, but maybe that's not in the cards.

You could try some dvds too. Like many people on this site, I've used the Jillian Michaels stuff. She does a combo of cardio and mostly body weight stuff, all you need is a mat and a set of hand weights. I had awesome results toning up with 30 Day Shred (lost inches!!)... but more importantly, it's SHORT! I think each…

10lbs for 60 days jibes with my Jillian experience. I lost about 5 pounds on 30 Day Shred, but a couple inches all over! I looked great! Gotta do that again...

I say go for it, too. If you did 9.5, you can do 13.1. As someone else mentioned, have a gu or something around mile 7 or 8... that should help you out (try it on a practice run first to make sure it doesn't mess with your stomach). I did my first half in January and hadn't run further than you prior to the race. My…

My advice would be that if the issue you're facing is that you're not as toned up as you would like to be, then losing more weight isn't going to help. I dig what you're saying about the time crunch, I've backed off on exercising lately for the exact same reason, but the good news is that working in some weight training or…

I know plenty of vegan runners. Just make sure you're getting enough calories (a problem for both runners and vegans, so an extra challenge for vegan runners!) and you'll be fine! Track what you're eating on here and it will help you to be sure you're hitting your numbers. Rock it!

Awesome! I did it twice... and last time I worked my way up to a half marathon before taking a too long break (ten months... oops!). I'm not sure I'm going to do the whole program again, but I'm going to attempt a little jog and see how I do. I really miss running. I felt great and lost 30 pounds!

Yep.
