  • Yes thanks, understand that. Can anyone speak to actually using one? That was what I had asked about.
  • Obviously I am doing that already. Why would you assume I'm not? Just wondering if anyone has any experience with prescription appetite suppressants and could speak to the experience/the effectiveness/the drawbacks. I hadn't even thought about it until my doctor brought it up, and would like to gather some more information…
  • You continue watching your diet and exercising. What happens when you reach your weight loss goal? You continue watching your diet and exercising.
  • Joining in too! I did 30 Day Shred a couple years ago and had awesome results (lost inches all over). I'm back to it now, just finished Level 1, Day 7. I'd love some accountability. A group on here really got me through the first time.
  • I'm just getting back into exercising regularly after a hiatus and I'm SO worried about injuring myself. I've gotten really weak and I'm noticing all sorts of twinges and imbalances. I'm just starting with super light weights and trying to be very careful with my form (running too), hoping my muscles will build up enough…
  • Bit of both. I switch it up when I get bored and do whichever I feel like doing on that day. In the past, I lost weight walking only, but I was still pretty skinny-flabby. And when I was only running, I became injury prone when I was neglecting my strength. As soon as I added more strength back into my routine, everyone…
  • Thanks, all!
  • Thanks, cwolfman13. Do you have any links to what the exercises are?
  • Whoa, that stretch is hitting it exactly. Thank you so much!
  • 30-60 minutes a day, 5-6 days a week. If I can't fit anything else in, I go for a walk at lunch. Don't worry, you don't have to put as much time in as some of these folks to see results. We all have different goals.
  • Regular massages aren't in my budget, unfortunately (I go more like once a year). How do you use your foam roller on your shoulder? I do it for my legs, but haven't tried that.
  • If your clothes are fitting you better, you're probably dropping fat and building muscle. It'll weigh the same, but take up less space. This is good! Keep going!!
  • It's best to exercise when you know you can fit it in. I like exercising in the morning to get it out of the way early on and wake me up for the day, but in reality I usually end up exercising directly after work because that's when I usually have the time to do it. Sometimes things pop up and I miss a day, though. If I'm…
  • Yay! Congrats. I'm hoping for the same!
  • I definitely lost the bloat when I cut the beers/wine and switched to sparkling water. I also found it way easier to stay in my calorie goals. I have a Purefizz and I love it, but there are also so many fun flavors available in 12 packs these days, you'll never get bored. Tea has become my other evening beverage. It's a…
  • I used to make it and loved it. I just don't want it often enough to keep up with it, though, so it fell by the wayside. If you enjoy doing that, you should try making your own yogurt too! I like it so much more than store-bought.
  • Just tossing in here, I lost a bunch of weight through walking alone. You may want to add in strength training or yoga or something later on, but walking is great exercise. As others have said, when it stops being challenging, it's time to add more, but I would add that if you get bored it's time too!

  • Personally, I prefer to eat after running instead of before, but as others have said, try some different foods and see what works. Maybe just a snack earlier and a full dinner later?
  • This happens to me more and more often too! I've wondered if I might have IBS (some vegetables, like bell peppers, hot peppers, and onions, bother me too). Anyway, I consider it a good incentive to stay on the straight and narrow with my diet. I might want to indulge in something greasy once and a while, but when I think…
  • I like to keep a bowl of hard boiled eggs in my fridge to grab and go. Plain yogurt with frozen fruit/nuts/honey is another favorite. Egg scramble with sliced up lunch meat in it. A couple pieces of cheese. I'm not much of a breakfast eater, so I usually just focus on the protein to keep myself full until lunch.
  • Thanks for the tips. I think what I'll do is just start keeping a big bowl of salad in the fridge to supplement whatever he's cooking up. Then I won't feel like I'm stuck cooking everyday. P.S. Sweet potatoes as so delicious and so good for you! Don't miss out!
  • I don't usually log anything that doesn't have calories, but if you're keeping an eye on your water intake I think it's probably fine to include something like tea (with no milk or sweeteners), but I probably wouldn't include coffee.
  • Is this really any louder than popcorn? I would get a small popcorn/ no butter and get some more exercise that day. Alternatively, you could pop it at home, which is pretty low cal, even if you oil pop.
  • Plus, you can always earn more calories by adding in some exercise!
  • Exactly this. It can be hard to stick with when you do things like blow all your calories on a big serving of french fries for lunch and then feel like your dinner is too small to keep you full. Play around with different foods and recipes. I had a day last week where I knew I was going to eat nachos when I went out, so I…
  • Hey, I'm in the same boat. You can do it! We know what to do, we just have to stick with it!
