Baked potato is a very good choice (I think) as it doesn't take much time to prepare. I find I eat rubbish if I don't make the effort to cook, so easy cook ups like a healthy spud is just what I need. A tin of baked beans on top and that's a good meal in my book. Maybe resist adding a cheese topping but add some curry…

Thank you all for taking the time to write and to share what look to be wise words. It probably is just one of a bunch of things - relationship not working out being the biggest one. Well - big sigh, count my blessings (simple maths - thats 3 children) and see if I can make a difference. I suppose in my head, loosing a…

If I get you right maybe we are of similar outlook - I get annoyed by people ranting on this site 'no no don't try that - its my "balanced" way or the highway'. This seems a ridiculous generalization and non exploratory to me, the point is if your overweight enough to be affecting your health then what you are currently…

What I don't like about my juicer is washing it up - too darn fiddly, and the dishwasher can't handle it.

Jive, yes I have an apple tree with hundreds of apples and a juicer is great - I can freeze the juice too. I think I should have said when I posted the topic I wasn't recommending the route (or fruit - pardon the the pun) but was inspired by someone caring for someone else with a food problem I think.

Well most of the internet and TV media is an infomercial these days. Back in the old days Soap opera's (eg Coronation Street) were surrounded by adverts for washing powders - hence the nick name soap operas / soaps. This web site is one BIG infomercial - whatever you post is surrounded by adverts of diet related products…

I think I was inspired by the Phil guy - I was happy for him. I wasn't thinking of going on a juice diet it wouldn't suit my situation with cooking for youngsters. It didn't occur to me that it was an advert for anything, am I supposed to rush out and buy a juicer - well I have one anyway!

Agreed wholeheartedly. The big thing for me is not feeling like I am on my own with it, and thinking someone out there cares - modern world being quite isolating in some respects. Well done !

For some reason (I know it is illogical to be selective) but I don't think I could stomach that..

I see what you mean about the drugs risk - and that is unnerving. Is there anywhere you can buy where there is no such risk or some controls in place?

Do you find it online or in your local shops? Thanks
