I think part of it is because then you know how much you are eating. I mean you could blow all of your calories a day in a meal if your having big portions of bread or pasta. No I do not agree with "cheat days" but I do believe in "cheat meals". A meal allows you to give into a craving with out destroying your hard work all week. The most important part is the same time every day so it is always consistent. I like to get up in the morning, use the washroom and then weight my self before I eat or drink. I find I weight the less then after spending the day eating and gaining water weight for the day. I also think it is important to do it the same day…

I always put the pieces of my meal in individual. I would put in my bread, then my meat, then my toppings and so on. After you have all of the individual items logged, create a meal and call it sub sandwich. This way you know you have the correct calorie amount and from now on you never have to figure it out individually…

By any chance have you cut out caffeine? A lot of people cut it out too quick and it causes headaches. Are you starving your self? If your now having too little calories you could be having hunger headaches.

Thanks Oldperson for the advice. I do normally eat first but I don't think to eat afterwords. I have been using the number the site had given me for calorie intake. Maybe the number is not suiting me well. I guess I am just going to have to get use to this crazy slow process.

Wow I am new to this site and new to the idea of tracking calories. I never thought by not eating the calories that I earned from working out I might be doing something bad. I guess I still need to do some more research. Thanks to everyone post for helping me understand more.
