Sweating too much is embarassing. Not being able to shop at normal stores. I'm married now, but it used to effect my confidence with women a lot. Feeling awkward doing normal things--walking through turnstyles, sitting in airplane seats. On the plus side, at least you float better :)

I absolutely love your answer about how you did it. "I never quit." Like so many people on here, I've battled weight my whole life. It's really about deciding that you're going to put in the work and not give up, because it's a long hard battle. Seriously, I really appreciate hearing stories like yours. OP, for me, MFP has…

Drink a big glass of water. Eat 1. Don't eat a whole box, that will make you feel terrible. Chances are your craving will be filled by having the one and you won't want the rest.

Total game changer for me. Logging has made me hyper aware of what I'm eating and eliminated the excuses--"you deserve this, you've had a tough day, I'll make up for it tomorrow, etc." Also made me aware of how ridiculously caloric going out to dinner can be/is--some bread and butter, an appetizer, main course, share a…

My buddy did one of these and I thought it sounded awesome!! I want too, but I don't know if I can be ready in time (have a ways to go to be in that good of shape). My goal is to do at least 1 or 2 5k races this summer. If I can work hard enough I would LOVE to do a tough mudder in the fall. Anyways, I think it's an…

I have a doctor that's full time specialty is weight loss and cognitive behavioral therapy. He told me that MFP (and all the other apps as well as the cardio machines at the gym) are overestimating the amount of calories burned during exercise. He said if you were to put on a "VO2" mask and actually measure what's being…

Pursuit of Happiness by Kid Cudi/ the Steve Aoki remix. Anything by Girl Talk, all of his albums are fast paced (no slow tracks) mixing a lot of old school hip hop with pop tunes. Awesome stuff.

I was talking to a doctor who specializes in weight loss and treating overweight patients, and he was telling me that the calories burned in exercise you see on this site/app and others and what you see when you get on an elliptical or tread mill are overestimated pretty badly. He told me that the best way to deal with…

Yeah, that's kinda what I was thinking. Eat fruit. I feel like sweet desserts are a recipe (pun intended) for disaster for me. Too hard to have just a little and control the calories. For what it's worth, my favorite food on God's green Earth is ice cream, but I can't keep it in the house. Once it gets warm, once a week…

Nuts or peanut butter might work for you.
