Carbs are necessary - like those from fruit, veggies, and so fourth but added sugar does absolutely nothing for us. I'll never say sugar is single handily causing obesity but when you start reading labels, the amount of things you would never call 'sweets' that have tons of added sugar is disturbing. Granted I know I'm…

Read The New Rules of Lifting for Women. I won't try to summarize the entire book here but you will find helpful information there. You may not love 100% of what it says but I know you will find enough of value to make the read worth your time.

I'm looking for something to mix with my iced coffee and hot latte drinks I make in the morning...I already like the taste, just want a bit of a boost, do you think that pea protein would accomplish that? I've never tried any protein powders but I'm not looking for an ingredient to taste, just something to mix with a…

Are you running Bird in Hand? I live in the area and it's never quite worked into my schedule but I'm excited to be running it this year.

I am on the larger chested side and I stopped even thinking about a sports bra that doesn't clasp and come in regular bra sizes. I used to pretend S,M,L sizing worked but I really don't think it does. I do get some lines here and there but really no chaffing. I agree with others, it was a bit of trial and error but I found…

Registered for a half in October and planning to register for a full next March. Plan is to walk a majority with a mix of jogging but mostly first time around to finish within the 5 1/2 hour time limit. Incredibly excited for my next goal. I know I can accomplish both and its going to feel so great!

Depends what your concern is. I have a strong family history of diabetes which is something I'm working really hard not to have this as part of my life. I know it sounds like fruit is healthy, it should be unlimited but its not unlimited for diabetics. Although its much better to go over on sugar cause you ate an apple…

I'd love to join if its not too late! I'm doing 30ds in the mornings and Zumba for 45 minutes aiming for 5 evenings a week. Sounds like the perfect time to amp up to 60 minutes per Zumba session!

Im on day six, level one. I am LOVING it. I get up early to do that workout and then I do Zumba, eliptical, or some other cardio in the evening. Im doing 30 days straight. I worked thought the soreness day two and really beyond that, its pretty much subsided. I've committed to doing it for 30 days straight at the very…

Wow, glad to see to see a thread about PCOS. I was diagnosed in high school and started taking metformin as I have a strong family history of diabetes to begin with and my doc mentioned birth control would also be a suitable treatment but I was more concerned with my diabetes risk. I go on and off metforim since it can…

I cruise quite a bit. I don't usually go to the ship's gym but I do get plenty of exercise. We don't wait around for elevators, we take the steps. We walk A LOT at ports and move around on the ship very much. We snorkel or do other physical activities in port. As far as food goes, you're going to eat probably too much and…
