I measure what I can (cereal, pasta, rice, potatoes, etc), read the package label for serving sizes (snacks) and eyeball meat, lol! I probably underestimate how much meat I eat, but it seems to be working ok so far.

I haven't been tracking here for long, but I did notice that when I had my TOM, I not only stopped losing weight, I gained some! Likely you're not gaining fat at all (unless you're eating a ton of junk food right now); it's water retention. Keep eating healthy and exercising and it will vanish by the end of your TOM and…

I spent most of today curled in a fetal position due to a violent sinus headache :/ Have to play catch-up this weekend!

April 4: still chugging along!

Day 3....

I have a son who just turned four and man he can keep me hopping! Part of the reason why I want to get fit is so I can keep up with him when he bolts away or decides he wants to play 'chase me!' for ages XD. Feel free to add me!

Teleresearcher at Synovate in University, ughghh. I conducted surveys with people who could by and large care less, took abuse, allowed guys to try to verbally undress me in order to get them to take the damn survey (actually, there's a couple funny stories tied to that) and then quit three weeks early because they…

Herbs-unless they're already pre-factored into a recipe Slivers of occasional cheese I pretty much count everything else though, lol

Fresh Express salad (1 cup) Chicken slices 2x Swiss Knight Guyare cheese (omg, I so recommend these by the way-they are om nom and pretty easy going on the calories for cheese) cranberry sauce A Girl guide chocolate mint cookie because girl needs her sugar :) 2x cups of water. I like to have a plate of random things for…

Taking my son to Strong Start helped today :)

I've started jogging again. I HATE jogging, but I know it can really help me out. I'm starting incredibly slowly, but I'll build up. And I'm snacking on healthy food, not garbage and I've stopped eating just because I'm bored. Yay!

I'm a work at home mom-does that count? :D

160ish. I don't want to be really skinny because I turn into a stick XD (my high schools pics; YIKES! I was skinny, but I had almost no figure!). 160'll put me at university weight :) I might change my goal when I get there to either maintain or drop to 150, but I don't want to make any commitments until I see how I feel.

I'm eating Net 1200 (actually, usually between 1000 and 1100 because I hate the red number) and gross around 1600 calories, but I exercise it off. It's working for me so far but what I really like is that it's teaching me to eat more fruits and veggies-which I used to be not so hot at-and to cut down on portions! So far…

Checking in at 4.4 miles today :)

Anyone keeping track of how their inches and pounds will drop off this month? I am out of sheer curiosity, so here's my starting: 193.4 lbs 15 inch neck 41 inch waist 41 inch hips (yikes!) Looking forward to how I'll change! As a side note to our host, I'm going to be aiming to make the 50 by the 22 because I'm visiting my…

I'm in! Walking is all I do for exercise, so hopefully this will really kick my butt into gear
-
7 days a week of walking-anywhere between slow (with my preschooler) to brisk if I'm on my own. I'm also trying to do more stomach crunches and this summer, there will be much geocaching which means lot and lots of walking, hiking and even a bit of mountain climbing :D
-
Go for a slow walk maybe? Nothing fast or else you'll cramp, but enough to get the water moving out? Bump in the hopes that someone will have a better idea, lol
-
Om nom nom nom! They look gorgeous!

If I'm going to have things like pizza or a cupcake, by all that's holy I'm going for the real thing! What's the point in cheating if you aren't going to to do it right? lol

"There's no such thing as a bad breed; only bad owners." My son has lived his life around all manner of dogs; we had a German Shepherd/lab cross (with a bit of rottweiler thrown in) when my SIL lived with us. She was incredible; even as a puppy, while she'd nip us, she would never harm a hair on my son (then an infant)'s…

I like two of the ideas I've seen: caps on the claws and making sure kitty has a safe place to bolt to when the toddler gets out of hand for it. We have a cat who was here long before my now four year old and while she's pretty laid back, she did raise her paws to my son every so often when he went too far. Giving her a…

Oh.... that brings me back :) My dad still has his Atari with a bunch of the games and I cut my video game teeth on it! He's also got an original SNES (I remember him bringing it home and my sister cut her video game teeth on it), N64, GameCube, Xbox 360, PlayStation 2 (that my husband and I bought for them so that they…

Not true. Peanut butter contains small (like minute) amounts of aflatoxins that can contribute to mold growth, however this only happens if you leave peanut butter in a really humid environment for a long time or if you grind your own peanut butter in a supermarket. But the odds are really against you getting sick from it.…
