I attend a weekly OA (overeaters annonymous) and at the beginning and end of each meeting we say the Serenity Prayer. I find myself saying it more through other events in life, sometimes daily

Oh yes! Definitely! I bet we all do. We're eatin healthy and exercising and over the weeks are seeing the result on the scale, and the clothes are getting looser. But that damned mirror, lol! Somedays would just like to SEE those results happen faster.

I cut out all sugars and flours a month ago and am feeling fantastic. No more bloating and no more cravings for those bad carbs. It has been proven (for most people) that when you eat sugars and flours there is the same kind of chemical reaction in the brain as when an alcoholic has alcohol. That's why us food(sugar)…

Big hugs and kudos to you for having the will and determination to get healthy when others in your presence are not doing the same or being the least bit supportive. They will be incredibly envious as they watch you beautifully transform and live a longer healthier life!

We each need all the support we can get and give in return. I'm new too and am so far loving this site. Good for you for joining that challenge!!

I'm feeling the same, time to get serious! We can do it, YES WE CAN!

I have definitely been telling myself baby steps. First I cut out the sugars and flours. Next I will cut out caffiene but it's going to be a while before I do that. Yes, need to get more sleep too.

For myself I had to get all of the foods I should not eat out of the house. I plan meals for the week and build my grocery list from that. I make sure to not buy any extras. I stay out of food isles that have all the bad food and spend a lot of time in the produce section.

Can you pass along some of your exercise motivation!! Way to go!! I'm on the eating really healthy track but haven't tackled exercising yet.
