I was diagnosed with clinical depression 10 yrs. ago and could barely get out of bed most days let alone work out. I was on Effexor in the beginning but it really wasn't helping and started my weight gain. I was switched to Fluoxetine (Prozac) after a breakdown years ago and finally started seeing my depression lift. Even…

I measure once the food is cooked as many things, especially veggies shrink during cooking.

I take Lyrica and have definitely seen a difference fore the good. Was in almost constant pain before being prescribed it. Unfortunately it only helps in alleviating the pain and not the chronic fatigue.

I used to be addicted to Diet Coke too. I would sometimes drink two or three cans a day. I didn't quite cold turkey but made the decision to stop buying it to keep at home and only drank it when I went out for lunch or dinner. Instead, I started drinking Crystal Light at home as I don't like the taste of plain water. Some…

I have fibromyalgia and know EXACTLY what she is going through in terms exercise. Most days I barely have enough energy to get out of bed and actually function throughout the day let alone try and work out. Although fibromyalgia is not a death sentence it can wreck havoc on you both physically and emotionally. So right now…

I met my partner of over 5 years on lavalife.com as well as brother and sister in-law and my old neighbour and his wife. I would recommend online dating to anyone who doesn't have a lot of options to meet people. Just make sure you go in with a strong skin and not take rejections too personally. I went on numerous first…

Started at size 23/24 and am now wearing size 15/16. Did a purge of clothes last fall which I gave away to Value Village (similar to Goodwill) and have a few more bags again. Any time I have needed smaller sized jeans I have bought them used as I see no point in spending money for brand new ones while I am still loosing…

I had RNY surgery over 6 months ago and it was the BEST decision I ever made. Due to health problems and the medication I had to go on I gained over 100lbs. I was actually told by the doctor at the weight loss clinic that no amount of exercise or diet would rid the weight. I di much research on my own and went to all the…

Had RNY 6 1/2 months ago and have lost 86lbs. I stalled in Feb. for almost a month which is quite normal with surgery. Got some advice about lowering my carb intake and it did the trick. I cut out bread, rice, potatoes, pasta at most of my meals and the weight has started coming off again. Hope this helps and good luck.

Was diagnosed with fibro in '08. Have tourette's syndrome and battled clinical depression as well. Gained loads of weight from all the meds and finally had gastric bypass surgery in Sept. '12. Even though I have seen the weight come off with a careful diet, I still struggle daily with chronic fatigue and pain which makes…

I had RNY Sept. '12 and don't regret one single second of it despite the fact that it is a daily struggle to not put the weight back on. Like many people who have had weight loss surgery, it isn't just about eating less and exercising more. I had always been a little on the heavy side but saw my weight balloon a number of…

Have not liked any of the protein powders I have tried so have a meal replacement protein shake every day for breakfast and it is quite good. Premeir protein shake 160 calories 3g fat 5g carbohydrates 3g fibre 1g sugar 30g protein Costco has the best price with a case of 18 drinks costing $28 or $29.
