When I need energy for a run but don't want to use a lot of calories, I'll eat half a packet of GU energy gel (50 calories) about 15-30 mins before.

I started out with 5 lb dumbbells and am now up to 8 which is plenty heavy enough for me for overhead press, curls, etc. I still use sets of 5's and 3's depending on the exercise.

I haven't tried many, but I really like Designer Whey... I usually get chocolate but the vanilla and strawberry (if you can find it) are yummy too. Only 100 cals and tasty enough to drink on its own with just water if you don't want to use more calories for a smoothie.

I'm a quarter inch under 5'4" and have a goal weight of 108-110. I'm currently 5 lbs away but it's a sticky 5 lbs and is going to take a lot to lose, I'm afraid! Friend me if you have similar goals!!
