did my frst mud run last year Run For Your Lives and like you LOVED IT!!!! I am doing the Warrior Dash and hopefully the run For Your Lives again I have definately made some changes to my exercise program to hopefully help me do it better .......my goal is to some day do a tough mudder

Add in one of those interval training workouts into your routine they say (trainers at my gym) that this is what changes BMR. In the end it is just about what works for you ....GOOD LUCK!!

Oh my Goodness I struggle with this as well!!! I try to not drink during the week and make sure I exercise at least saturday morning in which I do a marathon workout of weights and bodystep and try to burn at least 1,000 to make up for all my naughtiness

Add exercises that strengthen all the muscles and ligaments that support your knees. And ditto to what everyone else is saying about shoes

I have similar issues where I live I am actually getting my gun permit so I can carry at least pepper spray on walks and can carry if I go out into the woods ....goats !! They can be wicked mean I would have been terrified too!!

Forget about it , and learn from it, and don't do it again :smile: I have been in that position for sure due to a piece of chocolate peanut butter pie from chili's after learning it was like 700+ calories I realized wow it wasn't even really good!! You can do it !!!!

What ever your routine is if you get to the end of a set and you think you could do even one more you should go up on weight ...that's what our instructor tells us...but never sacrifice form !!!!

Sounds like you may even benefit from taking another rest day ...I have learned the hard way that rest days are just as important as workout days ...Good Luck!!

Back injuries are the worst I definately would seek a MD appointment and when you are cleared to return to exercise focus on core strength people i know with injuries swear by this

I usually do a greek yogurt and a banana. Some days I will do egg ehites with spinach mushroom and tomatoe on a 100 calorie bread and slice of cheese.

5k Rock and Run in May, Warrior Dash in June ,Run for your Lives ( I think in July) and maybe the Spartan, then in the fall there are a couple of local 5k's I am looking forward to doing its all about the t shirts and beer :)
