I am off Coca Cola...my fav, but also refuse to drink diet; the aspartame or whatever sweetners they use are not really good for you either. Some even say it can make you gain weight. Google it as I don't remember the article, but it is worth investigating.

Thanks for your information!!! I went today for blood work and the technician told me that it called for the A1c test, so we shall see. So glad my doctor's office has relented and finally will take this more seriously cause I know I sure am!!!

Mine is set for 175 for the day as per 40% carbs. This was on advice as I was just going by what my basic goals were; I didn't know I could change it. Is it too high for a beginning type 2 diet?

Thank you, I changed it to 40 carbs, 30 protein and 30 fat. I hope that is good.
