Whenever I crave the golden arches I think about this: http://aht.seriouseats.com/archives/2008/09/12-year-old-mcdonalds-hamburger-still-looking-good.html It's more than a decade old!!! No mould, no rotting... that cannot be good for you!!! Sooo many cancer causing preservatives in that baby... UGH!

I got into Anime because of my boyfriend, but I've been nerdy on my own long before that! I'm a punky-ska girl with colourful hair and an undying love for biological sciences/anthropology. Anything that explains how the world works, we work, etc. I've also roadtripped around north america, 40 states & 7 provinces. I've…

I've lost 67lbs, more than half of my goal -- and then gained back 20 something. It's so discouraging, and every time I try to get back at it, I fail. I'm trying AGAIN. I made my promise that after finals were done, my number one priority would shift to fitness. It's ridiculous to let all that hard work go for nothing. I'm…

Hey girl, I know how it goes. I'm so sorry for your loss, but don't look at this as a time of self-sabotage, but as a time to make promises to YOURSELF, that you know you will keep and feel better about yourself and your self trust as well. <3 Hang in there. This is the beginning of a new relationship with YOURSELF. <3 I…

I went there when I was younger because my mom thought I was too young to be using the big machines at the gym. About the not being able to change the weight on the machine - they're resistance machines, so the harder/more forcefully you push, the more resistance it gives you. i found it was mostly pre-menopausal women in…

9lbs will come and go, especially if its your TOM. You've just got to turn it around and you'll see the results you're looking for. Hang in there missy, you'll get there :)

EDAMAME. They're SO good :)

I was wondering the same thing - I work on an assembly line, building minivans and engines - today I was on my feet for 8 hours straight, walking up and down a ramp to do my job. I know I burned calories doing it, but I just sort of count those as a bonus :) (as in I don't count them at all)

I totally have a girl crush on MFP.

I have PCOS/Insulin Resistance and have lost 45lbs so far. I went from 250 to 205, with a final goal weight of 150. I know I can do it because I've been steadily losing and I know that it is something I will have to do forever, therefore is not a race. Once you realize that, you're good to go. If you're looking for friends…

I'm pretty sure you have to put it in under 'cardio' to count the calories. I'm not 100% sure but I think that the other part is for your own personal records, but if you want the cals counted you have to input it on the cardio section. I'm sorry if I'm wrong, but I remember reading this topic before! Hope that helps! -Kate

Hey there ash! I'm 26 and 206! You should add me, when I started this journey I was 250 - and being at 206 is actually exciting for me!! Don't be so hard on yourself missy, you're headed in the right direction :)

What I love (aside from the motivation of it) is seeing that even if I had a bad day - I'm not THAT far off track. Often times I'm far too hard on myself, and one day can spiral me out of control - if it wasn't for that reminder I wouldn't have gotten as far as I have. It's definitely one of my fave features of this site.

tracking all my food. ALL of it. The app helped me do this, and I'm at 44lbs lost so far.

Crystal light?

:) Hopefully there will be some mfp success stories on there soon! :) :D

No problem - I'm hoping it goes full circle, and that inspires people here and then they can send in pictures to inspire me even more ;)

DAMN BOY, now that is some inspiration right there! Great work!

The way I look at is: I've always had weight issues. I've always had food issues. I've had times where I've lost significant amounts of weight, but I've also gained it back - the one thing that never changed is that I wasn't in it for the long haul. Now, I've flipped a switch in my body. I know this is now a forever thing,…

Just remember that you'll probably be doing this forever (working out and tracking your food intake), so as long as it DOES come off, it's not a race. 16lbs since Jan is not something to ignore, that's a great amount of weight to have lost, and in a healthy amount of time - I'm also aiming to lose 1lb a week. Just keep…

I find the more people I know on here, the better! People on this site in particular are very supportive, and those people tend to carry that forward into day to day life. I would never be embarrassed about my losses - in fact, I share them with mostly everyone! :)

Write it off and use it as motivation!! Don't let it knock you off track, just come back better than ever.
-
I'm with you on that one sister. I always feel guilty eating them back.

Thank you for posting this. I have one of those "diabetic" body types - you know, the egg with legs. I always tell people that my goal is not a weight - it is the goal of never having diabetes. I am insulin resistant, and with the way my weight was going, I was definitely going to end up insulin dependant. I never want…

Hey there missy, I'm always up for friends :)
