I recently changed up my eating habits to try a 40-30-30 ratio and I love it! It's hard at first but then it gets easier as you get more familiar with what foods to choose. Thanks for this site--I will check it out later. :flowerforyou:

Hi I'd like to join too! I started working out with a PT two times a week, then I go one day by myself. It's only been 2 weeks since I started but I already love it. I plan to focus more on strength training than cardio, at least for this semester. Today's session we did a lot of core work, and a variety of other…

I count it--I figure it contributes more water to the body than the diuretic effect causes water loss.

Don't eat below 1200 cals per day as a minimum, and at your height you should be eating more--don't forget to eat your exercise cals, you will still have a calorie deficit and lose weight. It's better to lose slowly so you keep it off. Also, I have to agree, 152 lbs. and 5'8" is just fine as it is.

Hi, I'm from California and spent 6 months in Mt Pleasant a couple of years ago. It's about an hour north of Lansing--probably too far for you. But I thought I'd mention that there is a great little co-op in Mt Pleasant with healthy foods. I can't remember the name of it though. Maybe there is something similar in Lansing?

Hey that's great, I love cookbooks! I have been using Whole Foods vanilla flavored soy protein in my morning smoothies--it's really helped me maintain that 40-30-30 ratio. I was having trouble getting enough protein before the powder (and the beef jerky  ). If you have a little coffee grinder (I have one designated…
