  • Hi! I'm on everyday - I just hit my 80 day streak today (woo hoo)! Losing weight at a slow and somewhat steady pace! Add me if you like!
  • I'm doing a plank challenge - 30 days to a 5 minute plank (for me, more like 90 days). I'm doing it just to say I did it. Ego booster, confidence builder, whatever you want to call it. I like having these mini side goals plus my guys are doing it with me. Good clean family fun! :noway:
  • Agreed!!! I find myself cringing every time I read that someone is intentional eating UNDER 1200 calories everyday! There is nothing - NOTHING - that supports that as a healthy option!!!!! :noway:
  • Well said, OP! And I really like your sense of humor (snarky or not)!
  • Agreed!!! You can lose weight without being miserable!! Figure out what your BMR is and DON'T eat below that! Make sure your weight loss goal isn't too aggressive. Focus on adding exercise calories instead. I find that I'm quite satiated and still stay under my net calorie goal. Feel free to check out my diary if you like.
  • Well said!!!! This ultimately is a solo journey!
  • Hi! I'm 43 and am also looking to rid myself of about 50lbs. Hang in there! :flowerforyou: I really enjoy this site. I've tried other but like this one better. Feel free to friends nee!
  • MichelleB69 - so your health problems are resolved (I hope?). I agree, spring can't come soon enough. :ohwell:
  • What??? Don't want to participate in a Dirty GIRL mud run?? Too much pink for you? lol!
  • Hi there! I live in Wisconsin too! I've been hovering around MFP for quite a while now. It's been just this year that I have really been focused and getting more involved here. I'm taking little baby steps, sometimes forward, sometimes backward but I'm sticking with it!! Feel free to friend me! I check in on my mfp friends…
  • Chris50mfp - I'm doing a DIrty Girl Mud Run in Milwaukee in August. Not nearly as intense as Warrior Dashes, it's more about the mud (that's a big deal for us girls)!! I did it last year - had lots of fun! I'm thinking as I get more fit I'd like to do more intense obstacle races.
  • Ugh! My heart is just wrenching for you! When I was in middle school, there was one girl in particular that picked on me. What made things worse was that I was an introvert and a loner. Ignoring it is sound advice but near impossible to do! Especially if no one has your back. I think having supportive friends and family to…
  • gitnfit2 - I would probably rub it in so feel free! I can take it! :grumble: Jeffy67 - Great attitude! Love it!
  • I'm ready for spring too! The snow is melting! Might actually see the 40's tomorrow! :drinker:
  • Same here! Tried a strict set caloric goal. Didn't work for me! When setting my goals, I used sedentary as my activity level. My weight loss plan at 1lb per week. I use a Fitbit and hrm (what can I say I'm a gadget girl). My mfp daily calorie goal is 1390 NET. What I actually eat each day depends completely on how active I…
  • All things in moderation! I love Diet Wild Cherry Pepsi! I drink 2-5 per week. But I also make sure that I'm drinking my daily goal of water. I don't feel any different drinking diet soda or not drinking diet soda but I DO feel like crap when I don't drink enough water.
  • Woo-hoo! My family and I made it to the 1st rest day! Back at it tomorrow for day 7.
  • Oops, I forgot! There's a group for us 40+ people "40 and Fabulous" if your interested!
  • Hi there! I'm 43 and also have about 40ish pounds to go! My goal has been to lose about 1 lb/ week which will get me to or pretty close to my goal weight! I enjoy the support I've been getting here. Feel free to add me! I log on everyday and look forward to seeing how all my friends are doing!
  • I agree with Nikk2674! Finger foods and protein shakes! I'll bring a thermos with healthy soup to work sometimes also.
  • Broiled Parmesan Tilapia, Risotto with Mushrooms and Parmesan, Steamed Broccoli. And homemade blueberry pie for dessert. Yep, not completely healthy but even with all that I'm under my calorie goal for the day so it works for me. Like CoffeGuy123 said - Everything in moderation.
  • Thanks! :flowerforyou: I joined the group! Why reinvent the wheel! Yanasmom, maybe you want to also?
  • Awesome! I started this challenge with my family on 3/1/14!
  • Just an update... The dvds were out of stock by the time my order was processed. They were pretty quick to credit the total back to my card (a couple of weeks). I'm bummed that I missed out on such a great deal but am not unhappy with the way the company handled it.
  • I just ordered it! That is a great deal! Thanks for the post! :)
  • Hi Everyone! My 2014 goals: 1. I did the first one already, which was to sit down and actually write out my goals and be very specific! 2. TRACK! TRACK! TRACK! (I've been very bad at this in the past!) 3. Drink at least 48 oz of water daily. I know the magic number is 64oz, but I am not a water drinker so I'm starting…

  • Hi Everyone, I've been "around" but very uncommitted for awhile. Getting sick of the "same ol', same ol'" so I'm focused! I'm 43, married to an awesome guy and have two amazing boys (13 and 9). I would also love to have more friends on mfp! Feel free to add me! :)
  • Hi everyone! I'm 43, married, and have two boys. I have a desk job and also find it to be a challenge to get exercise in! Would love to have some more friends here on MFP! Feel free to add me as I add you!!
  • Great plan for the 1st week! I have been quite sedentary for a while now. I think I'll get outside and walk before the snow flies -or- if the snow is flying I'll do an exercise tape (Yep - I'm an indoor girl come winter!).
