  • Thanks for the protein tip!
  • What a great, positive attitude. I know you have been struggling with work issues and that in itself is trying. I am sorry to hear someone said something mean on MFP. Hopefully,it wasn't from our group. That is one of the reasons I wanted to start this group,so we could find others who struggle with emotional eating and…
  • Think this seems like it has been a difficult week for many of us. I also get discouraged when the needle on the scale stays the same or (dreaded) UP. I belong to a weight loss group and I asked if I could use my measurements instead.(guess not)Oh,well. I took them at home and I was pleased. In the past 22 days,I lost 3…
  • It is such a struggle, when you are an emotional eater. I have also been going through some trials, and turned to food, but am fighting it and trying to stay focused and positive. Please quit beating yourself up over your weight gain. It will just make you feel worse and turn to food more. Get a plan of action, regroup, get a…
  • Sounds like wonderful goals. Always great to have a partner that wants to get healthy too. I worked outside for over 4 hours and it was a great distraction. My darn knee has been acting up,also plantar fasciitis on the same side. I have had to stop the walking exercise but am still being active. My goal:To keep positive…
  • So glad you are starting to feel better. I'm sure that took a lot out of you,but proud of what a fighter you are! I got a biggest loser dvd,and it is probably different from the shred, but the exercises were a little too extreme for me. My darn knees are acting up again, and I don't want to quit doing squats and lunges, but…
  • Williamsburg is quaint and awesome. No matter where you go,it's a HONEYMOON! Congrats!
  • By realizing God makes no junk and we are lovingly made to be all we can be. I am to a point in my life, that I'm tired of feeling guilty about everything and I have the right to look great and take time for myself to be happy and whole. We live in such a culture of living up to everyone's idea of perfection, that if we fail…
  • How exciting! Are you going somewhere exotic for your honeymoon?
  • Oh,my dear. I am so sorry to hear you are feeling so awful. The dizziness and the nausea that goes with it,is the pits. You got great advice from your friends here. Be kind to yourself, and don't worry about losing your momentum. The most important thing is getting back on your feet and getting healthy again. I have heard…
  • Thanks everyone, for your support. I guess we are our own worst critics. Have a great day!
  • Hope you are having a better day. Life can be tough at times, but always look for the silver lining. The three years I worked there,I saw numerous women, all over the age of 50,some that had been there over 20 years, get fired. Maybe some stores are run differently, but the one I worked at,was managed poorly. Water under the…
  • Thanks for the tip! I had my weigh in tonite and I was bummed as I gained 1/2 pound. That is the first gain I have had since January. Darn emotional eating. I'm back on track,as I am not going to let it derail me. I appreciate all the wonderful support and love that we have in our group. You are all such an inspiration to…
  • My dear, sweet lady. My heart aches for you,as I do understand what you are dealing with. I lost my job in the same manner 2 years ago,and was treated the same way. I was going to fight it,but I was up against Walmart,,and saw many other women go through the same. I contacted the EEOC and they told me they could help, but it…
  • You go,girl! Hope you had a great vacation.
  • I have had a bit of a rough week. Had a few days of emotional eating, but back on track, the last couple of days. The new DVD player I bought, has a missing component,so wasn't able to use my workout dvd. Wasn't going to let that stop me. I found some on youtube and made good on one of my goals. I worked out with weights and…
  • Way to go!
  • I have had a rough few days. Lightning hit my house and fried my modem and my dvd player as well as a flooded basement,so I have been pretty stressed. I went to do my exercise dvd and realized I can't . Think I have consumed too much sugar the last couple of days. But,guess that's life. Just tough for an emotional eater.
  • You are doing great,Evelyn. Asparagus is a super food! Love to try new vegies. Glad you are cutting back on the diet soda. Nice goals.
  • I'm so happy for your progress, during this difficult time. Keep up the great goals!
  • Super! Math might do me in as well. Don't let stress undo your great work. Have plenty of "healthy" comfort foods available and maybe chamomile tea. It's calming. My thoughts are with you this week.
  • Dear Brenn,You are not alone. I had been going to the same church for almost 10 years, and when I went through a difficult time, nobody stepped up to the plate to help me. I was very disappointed and was let down.. I considered these people as family. I let it get to me,dropped out of church and gained over 50 pounds in a…
  • When I quit smoking,I had to give up places that would encourage me to smoke(temptations). The same goes for losing weight. I had to not bring in food, that would trigger me to lose momentum. For me,losing weight is serious business,as it affects every area of my life, most importantly,my health. I may appear too "weight"…
  • When I did those new exercise routines,I hurt my neck and can hardly move it,so have been taking it easy the last couple of days. I am going to attempt some cardio today. I have been on the move all weekend, and eating out,but am sticking to my diet goal. Have a great day,Ladies
  • Way to be motivated and so happy you are getting the much needed support!
  • That's the way to pursue your goals. Moving forward!
  • Way to eat and exercise. So proud of you all!
  • Wow,that's great! Love that determination.
  • Super, great goals. You inspire me. I'm going to get off of the computer and do my new yoga, ballet moves and then do the 5 mile power walk.Gave myself a rest day, yesterday, and it's back to it for me. Thanks for getting me fired up! Have a great day, everyone
  • Oh,good grief. I am showing my age. 60's were great!
