Whether I use a 10mm prong or 13mm lever, I always have bruising/broken blood vessels around my waist.

The guys really don't care. Also, if one tries to help you, don't assume he is just hitting on you.
-
I assume you are referring to me. What I said was not negative, but people need to realize that the world won't change for them. Once people realize that, the life can be a lot easier and less resentful.
-
Why?
-
Just because you are tying to make changes, doesn't mean they need to.

Btw - people in the gym aren't that scary. Couple examples that I've done. Couple kids (probably 18, I was in my last year of university, they looked to be in their first) came into the gym looking like deer in headlights. First thing every male does in the gym is bench. Day 1 is always bench press. It's a rule of life. A…

I'll Echo the words of everyone above.

Get a rack, a quality bar and an adjustable bench, plus plates. A rack should also have a pullup bar with multiple handles. That's all you need to start, Total cost should be less than a 1000. May sound like a lot, but if you pay 50/month for a gym membership, plus time to get there and back....

Wear what you are comfortable in to move around, and running shoes. You can look up beginner workout programs and YouTube how to do it Or buy/borrow a book OR hire a trainer. I suggest the first two opens, Google and books from the library. There are Numerous books for beginner weight training.

I could, but no matter how direct I am with my instructions, people don't listen. It's really Bloody simple - unless the bar is ok my throat and I am turning blue, don't touch my bar.

There's no excuse to curl in the rack. Although a friend of mine did in a gym that was dead at that time. A curl mockingly gave him grief for it. My friend just said "when you can squat more than I can curl, you can have it."

If you drink the shake after a longer period than 5 minutes, you will still survive. Don't get caught up in the smaller things. While nutrition timing can be important on some levels, worry about the bigger things first.

It's be shown to be safe for years. It's jagoffs like David Wolfe and "dr" mecola who keep saying it's not in an effort to sell more of their snake oil.

I still stand by it being a pyramid scheme with no magic properties. That being said, it has help many people in that it gave them a regimen they were able to adhere to, at least for some of the time. The problem is, what happens when they stop and haven't actually learned good habits? Also, they advertise as gmo free…

I see nothing unreasonable about this. I mean, I don't want that guy jumping on my couch.

Pre workouts are generally just creatine, beta alanine (which can cause pins and needles feeling in your skin) and caffeine or similar compounds. I make my own because it is a lot cheaper, but I do enjoy pre made ones as well. I find drinking them helps me get in the right mind set. Is it a placebo affect? Maybe. But if…

I used the rack and I'll do inclines in it too. I don't trust anyone but my training partners, who I can't always train with, to do it correctly.

Chances are, your logging won't be accurate enough to worry about 15 calories anyways. Same for your expenditure. Just don't go crazy with this concept.

This, I was actually serious when I asked where I was being rude.
-
Chiropractors some a lot of stupid crap.
-
You can ask any question you want. Just don't think someone is rude because the goggles do nothing.
-
Sweet. When's nap time?
-
Now this worries me for when my kid is in school.
-
I agree with you, unless it's a matter of you thinking you are better, but actually dying. But for this purpose, whatever keeps you in the gym.
-
I was going to suggest this. The one I have had a spot for a water bottle, and a pouch that can hold dog bags or your phone.

There was nothing to call out on. It was a Simpsons video. Nothing more. But if that offends you, perhaps you need a safe space. My answer was direct, with an added humours video. I even came back to clarify so that I wouldn't be giving you incorrect advice in case you were mistaken in what you were referring to or that I…

Most pre workouts are just creatine, beta alanine (this may give you a pins and needles feeling in your skin) and caffeine plus flavoring. I've used c4, mr Hyde, assault and a couple others. They are all more Or less the same. Some say they are a placebo, but if you think it helps, it can help you get in the right frame of…

See now, this IS condescending. >:)

Because my comments weren't.

I'm still waiting for an answer to what was condescending about my response.
