I struggle too. Tell yourself things like "Oh well...this is not optional...I have to" to avoid the debating and excuses. Make working out as comfortable as possible to get through it.

1 week might be too soon to expect a weight change. I would be more concerned if you saw no loss of a couple weeks at a time. Everyone's bodies have normal weight fluctuations for a wide variety of reasons.
