@msarobix No, it was actually a program recommended and paid for by my health insurance. We had to apply and if accepted, it was paid for. We are now in week 17 of the program (which is all online). https://www.naturallyslim.com/

@Smiley My Naturally Slim program doesn't encourage snacking but calls things "hunger savers" to get you to meal time without being starving. I know a teaspoon of peanut butter helps me. They also suggest a handful of almonds, edamame, and popcorn.

Lately, I've been having pain in my left heel. I can still walk but it is killing me. I don't know if I bruised it or something else. When I looked it up online, it suggested that I do flex exercises to help it and it has. When I'm sitting, I'm flexing my foot and stretching out that tendon so maybe it has to do with that.

@msarobix When I'm not on a trip, I weigh every day. I was terrible yesterday and overate junk food. We had a milkshake which was 100 g of sugar! I'm trying to stick to only 24. But we also walked almost 8 miles. Oh well, today I can start anew. Hopefully, I will do better today.

I have noticed that I may lose a pound or two and then plateau for about a week. I feel like when my weight moves (either up or down a pound), that I've over that plateau and may lose another pound soon. I read somewhere that when you lose weight, your body reaches a point where it has to reset itself before it can lose…

We are having a wonderful time in Florida but it has gotten colder here than I expected! We are still doing the Naurally Slim program and I’m really pleased with the results so far. Dropping pounds is slow but I think I will be able to keep them off. One thing that resonated with me was learning that my feet can’t outrun…

I really got a lot of walking done yesterday to make up for our travel day and some unhealthy eating I’ve been doing. Today we are going to do a Yuengling brewery tour and then head to Apollo Beach to look for manatees.

Thanks! That is a great idea.

Well, y’all helped me again. I was so tired and trying to keep awake during the Clemson game. Then I realized I was 250 steps shy of my 10000 steps! So I started walking in place even though hubby was laughing at me. I got my steps in and I was able to stay awake for the whole game! I know I won’t drink enough water while…

@msarobix We were in the car for 8 hours. We did park away from the rest area building so we could walk a little. We also stopped at some antique stores. I was happy to get over 7000 steps on a travel day. My minimum is close movement and stand rings even if I don’t close my exercise ring.

Well I’m confessing in advance. I’m counting tomorrow as my rest day and won’t get my steps in. We are leaving st 5am and heading to FL. It will be an all day road trip. On the bright side, I’ll have plenty of knitting time!

I know being a part of this group helps. I also have a couple of pictures from when I was younger and thinner. When I feel discouraged or just plain lazy, I pull them out and look at them. I remind myself that I can’t do anything about the age thing but I can do something about my weight. This is a conscious decision that…

I am keeping track of my steps, distance and sugar intake in my bullet journal. I keep an excel spreadsheet of my distance each day (which I usually fill out at the end of the month using my bullet journal entries). I have been doing this for about 4 years and like comparing previous years totals to what I’m doing now.…

I am really seeing a benefit to being part of this group! The past 2 days I really struggled with getting my 10,000 steps and closing my rings. I decided that I would post here if I didn't do it so it made me do so I wouldn't have to tell. LOL

I found the monthly challenge under awards on the activity app. It automatically enters you into the monthly challenge. At least now I know what I’m working towards. 😀

Tina - I didn't know that there was a challenge each month. I have to go look at that.

Happy New Year everyone! I started this morning by weighing in and taking my measurements. I hope to take my measurements at the beginning of every month. Today we are cooking our traditional New Year's Day meal: Collard greens and Black-eyed peas. Now it's time for me to get on the treadmill!

I hope you enjoy your digital planner. I’ve been doing a bullet journal (not digital) this year and love it. I like using markers and colored pencils to design and decorate my layouts. I guess it is my own adult coloring book. I have been tracking my steps, distance and sugar intake in it.

@msarobix I have been walking at 3.2 mph for 3 min. And then 3.5 mph for 2 min and repeat for a total of 60 min. My exercise ring has been closing after 30 min. If I just walk at 3.2 mph, it doesn’t close. My knitting and spinning gets my movement ring closed easily. I had to go in and increase the calories goal.

Hi everyone! I find that I need to get my exercise done before my husband wakes up or I don’t do it. I’m also learning that if I don’t get my heart rate up enough, my exercise ring won’t close. My goals are: Eat slowly Drink more water Exercise at least 4 times a week Eat no more than 24 grams of sugar per day

I can't wait to start! I have an apple watch to and will look up how to "friend" you on it. Don and I have been doing this program called "Naturally Slim" that was paid for by our health insurance company. I like the principles they recommend. The one that has worked best for me is to eat slower so I feel fuller. I eat…
