  • I quit smoking 5 years ago but I've always been a runner. I'd get sooo out of breath after running a couple minutes. Now I can run non-stop for 30-45 minutes and I don't get out of breath anymore. It definitely does a number on your lungs.
  • I looked at your diary and most of your sugar is coming from highly processed foods - candy, McD's apple pies, iced animal crackers, ice cream.....try to get your sugar fix from natural sources, like fresh fruit.
  • Beans! Black beans, navy beans, pinto beans, etc.... Each serving is 1/2 cup and around 100 calories. Great source of protein and very filling too.
  • Yes, but for me it works, when Miralax and Metamucil didn't. I know they use cellulose (plant-based) to help add bulk, but you'd have to google it to get all the active ingredients. Here's a link to all the people who swear by it. (And no, I don't work for them, lol): http://www.irritable-bowel-syndrome.ws/citrucel.htm
  • Miralax didn't work for me either. Neither did Metamucil, which is a Psyllium Fiber. I've delt with IBS-C my whole life. You should try Citrucel. I've been taking this for years and it's been a lifesaver. I used to take Zelnorm and it worked beautifully and I pretty much panicked when it went off the market. But I take a…

  • There's a lot of preachy people on this post. Kudos to anyone who tries to offer a lower calorie option to desserts. Thanks, OP!
  • I have pcos and was diagnosed by ultrasound and lack of periods after going off the birth control pill in hopes of getting pregnant. I always had intense carb cravings and now I know why. Getting on 2000mg of Metformin really curbed the cravings and helped clear up my oily skin. Also, I gave up sugar completely for Lent…

  • I find that I eat less and am more apt to exercise when I take my anti-depressants. Whenever I stop taking them is when I start to feel lethargic and lazy. Maybe you should try a different one. I take Lexapro for anxiety and it gives me more energy, but without feeling anxious.
