  • I log everything I eat or drink. I learned many years ago while in weight watchers that all those little"bites, licks and tastes" add up. I'm still new to this so for me I have to do it by the book, or I will slide right down hill very quickly. Good luck, I hope you find what works for you.
  • Thank you for posting this. I just started using my HRM and was reading the manuel about fat burning and strenghing. Each of which work at different intensities, depends on your goal. Right now I am most interested in burning fat, then I will concentrate on strenghing. When I was taking A&P classes I remember something…
  • Now this sounds GOOD! I need to head to the store, on my list for this week. Thanks for sharing.
  • What a great story of determination, I am always amazed at the people here that have lost tremendous amounts of weight. You giuys and girls are all in an inspiration to me when I am feeling whiny or lazy or sorry for my fluffy self. Great job so far! I am a rank amatuer so I really dont know much more than you I'm sure…
  • Thanks to those of you that replied to my question. I went online and read the detailed manual, found some settings I did not see the first time. I have a Polar F4 and it does have a chest strap. Had all my settings in there just fine height, weight, age, sex etc. But i did something wrong yesterday because I just finished…
  • I am definately trying this one! Yum, I love a good dip.
  • Geez people ligthen up! The OP was simply posting a recipe that we can use OCCASIONALLY. I am sure it was not intended to be eaten at every meal, this is a dessert. To be eaten once in awhile , as a special treat. The last time I checked they didnt list dessert on the food pyramid. Thanks for your "advice" but I think even…
  • Excellent Post. Love your signature by the way, wish we could all live like that!
  • Kimmy I looked at your diary and you really do eat quality food. I did notice that your protein seems set low and MFP has the fiber set much tooo low. you should be getting 25 grams of fiber per day , BUT when you increase that do it SLOWLY and increase your water . You dont need those problems. I think you are eating very…
  • I have only looked at the last 2 days of your diary and this is my first thought. You are eating an awful lot of packaged or fast food. HIGH sodium ! You dont seem to be eating enough good quality calories. Very little protein. Almost NO water. First of all you dont have much weight to lose so it's gonna be tougher to let…
  • I am so hungry right now. Can I eat these for breakfast ?
  • Thats why you see the bike seats with that funky hole in the front. Yes, I would guess that is why you are sore. Try changing the seat I think you will be much more comfortable. Ouch!
  • P.S. as far as the sodium goes there is 40mg of sodium in a can of DC compare that to 450mg in 1/2 cup of low-fat cottage cheese!! I'm just sayin' Ok, going to put on my flame retardant suit and have the fire marshall on speed dial :ohwell:
  • Can we talk? I LOVE my diet coke ( see my signature below) I dont call it an addiction just because I think people use that word for anything they like a little toooo much. Now a days everyone is "an addict" to something. No, I dont call it an addiiction but I would not want to be without it. Now saying all that, I will…
  • I feel so much better than I did this morning when I posted this. Everyone here soooo supportive. Regardless of the amount of weight we each want to lose, it's still a life style change and we all have to make sacrifices. Thank you, for understanding the pissy attitude and my temporary insanity :blushing: I know that I am…
  • The 2 bras you bought at the corset shop last fall, had fitted and special ordered at $70 each, wont fit you much longer .:ohwell:
  • Well now that I know Banks will leave us once we become educated I will make sure to ask repetitive questions every 48 hrs.:flowerforyou: Personally I dont know how you ( Banks) keep a civil tone, even I get frustrated when I see the same questions re: eating exercise calories and people thinking they can fudge their own…
  • I've been a parrothead since the early 80's so my name tells you that I am a : Jimmy Buffett Fan and my birthday 218
  • Once a week on Saturday morning. Measure once per month. Messes with my mind if I weigh more than once a week.
  • Relaeh, Yes, that last posting is a very wide range BUT if you notice the 2nd one listed says : 1 Pizza (no idea how many slices included in this entire pie) as opposed to the 1st one was listing cals for 115 gr, which sounds like 1 slice. Just enjoy your dinner it sounds like you've got a good plan. Edited for spelling
  • I have only lost 9 lbs but already lost 1.25" inches in my bust. I was okay with that since I was a very busty 38D, but I would rather lose the chub around my gut.
  • Hello my name is Beth
  • I retain fluid horribly, I rather resemble a camel at times. So, the first thing I did when I realized that you can customize what nutrients etc that you can track was add sodium. I think it is harder to keep my sodium below 2500 than to control my calories. I stopped adding salt to my food quite awhile ago. In fact…
  • Bump for later, sounds perfect !
  • I think I understand what the OP was trying to say. But I dont think it has so much to do with age as tastefulness and being age appropriate. Everyone here probably knows someone that is "trying too hard" and it is not flattering. However I was in the BEST shape of my adult life when I was 33-38yrs. My problem was I didnt…
  • I will save this to read over & over again. I have so much admiration for those of you that hang in there for month after month and lose amazing amounts of weight. You seem to have realistic goals regarding time frame, I see so many posts (including myself) that want to lose the pounds that took years to gain, virtually…
  • Weigh in for this week DOWN 2.5 lbs. My body just does not lose that much at one time, so I am THRILLED!! Hope everyone has a successful week ! Realistic Goal : 150 lbs Fantasy Goal: 145 lbs
  • Good information to have. Bumping to my topics.
  • What the heck, count me in! I can use all the motivation I can get. Started Jan 5th at 173.5 Today weighed in at 165 you have no idea how happy this makes me  Goal 150 This is the first time I really feel like I can do this. Thanks to MFP, it really makes a difference for me.
  • This is so ironic. I literally JUST did the tape measure version . I mean the site is still up on my computer. I plugged my numbers into a BF calculator and got a result. I am not confident enough to reveal the results but lets just say that at 5' 10' 50 yrs old and 165 pounds.......I am "acceptable" but only by 1/10th of…
