You know my thoughts Jullet! If it's not sustainable for life...it's not worth doing. No weird, crazy fad diets. They may work for the short term, but they are not sustainable as a lifetime change. Change how you eat, and just eat healthy. Remember, you've done the vegetarian route...how long did that last again? Exactly!…

I am so glad to see that I am not the only person out there who is killing themselves...lol Thank you all for the humorous responses!!!

Stay within the 2500 guideline. I've finished Insanity, so I know how you feel. Try finding areas to cut back on the sodium...I stopeed eating deli meats, and started grilling fresh chicken breasts for lunch (cut out about 400 mg of sodium in lunch alone!!!). I also eat some form of healthy chip- and I look for the lowest…

Both! Depends on the exercise I was doing. I've had MFP calculate higher and lower than what my HRM says.

Did anyone else notice, that the original poster has only posted two things on the forums This delightful post-and another calling a girl hot)...and they haven't filled out anything in their profile. Can you say troll???? Just let the thread die. He was just trying to cause an argument.

Girls get with him, not because he's good looking (which he is not!!! Have you seen how gigantic hos nose is??? lol) but just to have the status that "I slept with the Situation!" Good for you, and I hope you have had a Hepititis Innoculation, and go get tested for some other stuff while you're at it.....with how many…

Oh dear sweet baby manger jesus!!! I just watched the trailer for this workout video, and while it definitley looks like a killer workout (especially the abs) there is no way I could do it. I would want to jump through the TV and strangle him every time he uses the word "Situation!!!" (which would be about once every 22…

 Please, please, PLEASE tell me that you are joking????????? I gotta check this out. I can';t believe that idiot put out a workout video. God I just want to punch him in the face!!!

All over the place. If you have a local Costco nearby, check them out. The one by me has the New Balance N4 for women (which my wife uses). Otherwise, Walmart, Target, K-Mart, or online. You can always try Amazon.com

Unfortunatley, the only accurate way to tell what you burn, is to invest in a Heart Rate Monitor (which I strongly reccomend you doing). Otherwise, any number you get from MFP, or any other site, is pure guesswork based usually on your height, weight and age. Once I got a HRM, I checked a few of the exercises against what…

My wife bought me VFF Komodo Sports for my birthday (how awesome is she???!!!) Anyway, I love them! They are incredibly comfy. I have worn them walking, jogging, biking, and just out for general use. I did invest in a pair of Injinji toe socks too. Makes getting the. VFF's on alot easier...although I can get them on easily…

If you are using a HRM (which I highly reccomend using) then just create your own exercise. Using anything on MFP will be innacurate. Until I got my HRM I used Dancing, Aerobic, modern ballet or twist...and that was the closest to what the HRM said. But it was still off.

I finished Insanity at the end of May. Take your rest day and enjoy it...you will need it!!! If anything, you could rework the schedule, meaning, do one of the workouts that you "missed" and then push your rest day till tomorrow. But do not skip your rest day.

Like a watered down beer. Not horrible, but not great either. I made Fathers Day my Spike Day, and had some pizza and beer (Budweiser Select 55). It was ok- having not had a beer in 6 months, but a Bass or regular Bud would have been alot better. To the OP....I really can't help you out on this one. Theres really no way I…

Dear lord, please tell me you mean that you would be distracted by her gigantic nostrils and ugly face??? I've seen only one picture of her that she looked good in. Other than that, she is hideous!!!

I progressed to level 3 by my 18th day, and quickly bored of doing the same workout over and over again. Don't get me wrong- Jillian is a SADIST!!! And it is a good workout, just not enough for me. After doing the 30DS for 20 odd days, I moved on and realized I could do Insanity (which I had figured was well above my…

I drink one 16 oz coffee every morning...I started my weight loss journey on January 3rd and have lost 86 pounds....so....no, it doesn't. I have no scientific evidence to support this, just my own personal experience.

I disagree. For about the last 2 months, I have had a spike day, once a week, where I intentionally eat up to 1000 calories over my daily goal. I still eat healthy food, but just alot more of it. I have continued to drop weigh. Actually, before I started doing this, I had almost come to a stop with my weight loss. Since…

I use Muscle Milk Whey Protein Powder (Chocolate or Vanilla) bought in 6 pound bags at Costco. I have been using it as a breakfast meal replacement since I started my weight loss journey back in January. On heavy exercise days, I may have 2 shakes...one food breakfast, one as a snack after the workout. My normal breakfast…

You need some form of photediting program. My computer came with a windows based program. HP MediaSmart Photo is the name...I think. Walking you through it would be difficult, but you have to open both photos and then paste them together. You will most likely have to crop the pictures as to not exceed the upload size for…

It shouldn't. But typically, if you are under one day, you don't keep those calories for the next day. Or vice versa. So don't make a habit of doing it. Just try to be as close to your goal as you can. Each day is a new day. Don;t let the previous day dictate how you eat today. If you have a bad day, and are either way…

My guess is that Polar will not replace it. The watch face shouldn't crack for no reason. So most likely it was dropped, or you accidentally hit the face into something that cracked the screen. Either way, Polar will most likely say that it was an "accident" that caused the damage, not a manufacturing defect. Most companys…

It's legal waivers so they can use your pictures and weight info in advertising. Basically, you just say..."yes...you can use my success story for you to make more $$$$" lol  I could care less. I would love to be called up and be on the infomercial!!!!! They don;t even have to pay me- just give me a free copy of…

Interesting way of looking at it...but I try to be as accurate as I can be. It takes 30 seconds to do the calculations, but to explain it so people understand it, it looks like alot. I could have just put, BMR/24/60*minutes exercised. Calories burned-thaty number is it....but I figured a better explanation was in order. If…

BPM- Beats Per Minute (your heart rate) BPM %- the percent of your max heart rate that you are working at- you will see the higher your heart rate, the higher your %. The other 2 I can't help you on. But a side note, if you track your calories for MFP for exercise, make sure you subtract out your BMR. Go to the tools…

DO NOT QUIT!!!!! You are almost there. It is such an awesome feeling to be able to say "I finished Insanity!!!" I know summers here, and you feel like letting go a little bit, but this is what seperates us from everyone else. It's a lifestyle change, and you gotta push through!!!! You can do it!!!!!!!! To make you feel a…

I am no Doctor.....if you can not recall having done anything to cause the pain, and depending on the severity of the pain, I would suggest going to see your physician for a check up. It could be anything, and for anyone on here to speculate what that might be, would be poor advice. Listen to your body.

I didn't follow the meal plans. I was already 2 months into calorie counting and had a good meal plan in effect. I just had to up the calories on the 6 days I worked out. The highest burn I had was over 800 calories. My average was probabaly 690-730...somewhere in that range. So I had to come up with healthy snacks to fill…

Thanks! Lots of hours of pain in the chair. Hopefully I finish my right sleeve this summer. At least that's the plan.

I AM DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! INSANITY GRADUATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I CAN'T BELIEVE I MADE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ok, I;'ll stop yelling now.... Time to celebrate!!!:drinker: I don;t feel like retyping it all, so here's the link to the post I started for my completion of Insanity.....…
