Now that I have one, I can't imagine not having it. I use a Polar FT7.

Awesome! Thank you!

I have the one from BlueFin (link below) and I really like it. Great graphs for tracking progress and a journal feature to record runs. The app is free, but you definitely need to buy the GPS add- on, I think it is $.99. http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/c25k-couch-to-5k/id301233668?mt=8 The very few issues I ever had were…

Hello from an Austin-area Red Raider. Tons of support here.

I have hit the 3 mile mark (thanks to C25K) and now working on adding more distance. I like to use http://www.walkjogrun.net/ to map my runs, the distances seem very accurate.

Alright, I'll step up and brag. Today is my 8 month anniversary on MFP. I have lost 60 pounds. I have gone from 44 pants to 38 and from 3XL shirts to XL and some L. I completed the C25K program and my first 5K. I run 30+ minutes 3 times a week. I am not off the blood pressure meds yet, but getting closer. I am taking my…

Be sure you've also got good running shoes. Your shoes can make a huge difference.

Never was a runner, but I finished the program. I loved it and I still run 30 minutes 3 times a week. Don't be intimidated, you can definitely do it.

I use a Polar FT7 and would recommend it to anyone.

Great job. When you are ready, check out the Couch to 5K program. It's awesome.

I'm a high school counselor and I started my weight loss journey during the last school year. I was having a hard time getting to the gym after school, so I started going before school. It took a little while to get disciplined enough to go everyday, but once I got into the groove I felt horrible if I missed a day. Pack…

I am running my first 5K a week from today (it is my C25K graduation day). My goal is to run the entire 5K. After this race I will start working on increasing my speed and recording better times.

Never been a runner, but I am doing Week 8, Day 3 on Friday. For those of you who are struggling, hang in there. It does get easier and you will be amazed when you complete each week.

Restarting MFP after being away for a while and this is just what I need to help me get going. Start: 255 Goal: 245 2 Challenges: Say goodbye to sodas and stay under my calorie goal each day.

Be a duck and let her comments roll off your back. Keep focusing on the positive-your husband, kids, and how good you are going to feel when you reach your goals. Remember to take it one day at a time and you will get there. You have a lot of people here rooting for you.

Thanks for the info guys. It feels a whole lot better to see your real loss on the ticker.

Since joining MFP, I've lost a 2 year old. All told I have lost a 5 gallon bottle of water. Holy crap, no wonder I can walk a flight of stairs without needing an oxygen tank. Now, I need to add an Irish Setter.

Awesome! You will find a lot of support and assistance at MFP. Good luck on your journey.
