Would you like to be my fitness pal?
-
It IS a big deal. You have gone through a big life change and (as we all have done from time to time) food has helped you get through it. You have recognized that and the lack of the activity you used to have and are taking steps to do something about it. That is a very big deal. We are all in the same boat, one way or…

You younger gals all go for any size marathon; I can't include that as I have two bad knees, but I would like to get back on my "dreadmill" again and get back up to 30 min. Any encouraging words please?:ohwell:
-
Ha! I couldn't possibly put on white spandex pants no matter what shape I'm in.
-
Well, I am over 70 so I hope you'll let me in, old thing that I am. I have lost 40 lbs. and would love to lose 40 more. I need lots of encouragement, but I already feel so much better, especially my knees.:drinker:

I live in Florida and would love to be one of your fitness friends. I try to log every day. I could be your grandma on here.

Tell people like that to ask their dr. what a healthy weight is for someone your height with your BMI? They will be surprised. Also share with them how much better you feel physically and about yourself in general. It sure shows through on here. The only man u want to please is your hubby. Tell the guy THAT.

But that's the great thing. You don't have to count calories. Just enter your food intake & the plan does it for you. It DOES work. This site is great.

The last pic really shows the most difference. Arms aren't as big. Neither is tummy. Boobs aren't popping out. Good for you. I have fibromyalgia too plus raging arthritis so am doing it mostly by my food plan. Almost 25# off since April 1st. I love this site. Kudos to you.:drinker:
-
What a change. Good for you. No wonder fiancee is so proud of you.
-
No.

I have fibromyalgia and severe arthritis with a failed right knee replacement so I know what it's like to try and lose weight and also to exercise. And, yes, I'm a gramma 11 x over. I just started slowly on the treadmill last week. 10 min., next day 15, next day 20 and yesterday I got up to 22, shooting for 30. I can't go…

Hi, My gallbladder removal was so simple. Came through it with flying colors and have just a little scar going into my navel. The punch scars are gone completely. They gave me a little to eat. I didn't throw anything up. Walked around the corridor for a while and they didn't even give me a wheelchair to go to the car. I…

Hi, Did you keep a food diary every day? I am trying to do that. If you did, why not go back and look at those first 2-4 weeks on the plan & just say I'm going to do those days over? DO NOT GIVE UP! You don't want to gain all your weight back I know. Hope this helps. We're all in this battle together.

That is actually a scripture in the Bible. What a beautiful saying.
-
I gave it up too. Can't have it in the house. I bought one day and ate the entire jar that daythat was before MFP. Oh, and I didn't get sick either.

What encouraging "tidbits" to help me.

My very fit daughter-in-law does this daily. I've been seriously thinking about getting a pedometer and slowly working up, maybe it will never be 10,000. I try to guess what my sedentary life gives me in daily footsteps and I guess 1,000. I have two bad and very painful knees. That is my prime reason for wanting to lose…

Oh my, how great for you. Yes, you have gone down too many sizes to have the altered. But you shop like I do. I love clearance.
-
You really made me laugh. Thanks for that. Most of us do not go out & buy a 3-5K wardrobe, Eric. But women probably do have a harder time than men. I hated reading about the shoe size loss. I don't want to do that as I have shoes I love. But then again, don't women always buy too many shoes? I do. Wondering if you have…

A really good seamstress who could alter your beautiful clothes is cheaper than buying all new ones. Eventually you will have to get rid of them, I'm sure. But good work. Motivates me.

Just had Chobani lemon Gr. yogurt last night. Loved every bite!
-
What an inspiration! Loved your story. Your tatoo even shrunk! And you are beautiful to boot.
-
You can't see the difference? I sure can. Think positive. You must be doing everything right. Keep it up.:flowerforyou:
-
I have exactly the same problem. Thanks for the answers folks.
-
A good example for me, even tho' I am more Rubenesque than you were.
-
I'm drinking 2 cups in the morning with Stevia, nothing else, and I've been losing.
-
I also started April 1 and have a "weigh" to go. Would love to be your friend. We can support each other.
-
This is such an encouragement to me. I just started April 1st and look for encouragement anywhere I can get it, so thanks! And congrats.
-
Thank you for this. This is my first day and I will put your good advice to use immediately.
