Don't forget places like ebay. Picked up both p90x and T25 at great prices (and the t25 was brand new -- original packaging and unopened.

Thanks. II'm a runner at heart too and am very pleased with how my work with p90x has significantly increased my overall speed. I wasn't really expecting that. I've continued to run during the p90x, just on the non strength training days. But I'm also pleased with the new definition and muscle build in the shoulders, arms,…

Me too. I wear a heart monitor so I can track time and exertion level, then go to shapesense.com to get an estimate of calories burned (based on average heart rate and time), then enter it as a 'create a new'. This allows me to compare across time as well. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the replies......I understood that Insanity was more a cardio based program vs. P90x, which is geared more to strength training. I, too, am anxious to hear what others think of the p90x3 after it's been out a while. I have enjoyed the p90x but it takes a LOT of discipline (and time) to stick to. I'll definitely…

I am finally officially out of the 'overweight' category and in the 'normal' range. Still have 19 pounds to go but dang! That feels GOOD <g>

OMG....SOOOOOO glad you posted this and I happened to see it. Gonna try it this weekend. Thanks!

Oh, how I can identify with this!! My downfall is the time after work and before dinner. I do great all day long until then. I've found moving dinner up to 4:30 or 5:00 helps a lot but boy, if I'm not eating BY 5:00, I end up overdueing the eating and go way over the top. Adding seltzer water has helped a lot 'cause it…

Things I have cut out (or severely restricted) 1. Pizza (now do a modified one on tortilla when I crave it). 2. Making excuses to Not get the cardio and strength training done (I simply schedule it and then DO it. It's my prioity) 3. Cheese (and crackers). My downfall. Now they are scheduled to once a week and…

Great idea!! I'm 56, 5'7", and 162 pound. My goal is 140 (haven't seen that in a number of years). Now that I'm 2 years out from cancer treatments, I've recently gotten serious about dropping some weight and getting back in shape.I've dropped 14 pounds since I got my FitBit and joined this site (in a month's time). I…

Awesome idea -- particularly good for those 'on the go' times......I'd have to substitute ground turkey but I bet they'd be equally as good. Thanks for taking the time to share with us!!

Hey, first off, KUDDOS TO YOU FOR NOT GIVING UP!! There's a lot that you don't say in your message (number of daily calories you should be eating to lose weight, amount of effort (HR) and time spent on those 3 days of exercise, etc. I went through a similar thing for about 2 months (which got me to buy a FitBit and sign up…

Count me in too. I've got about 30 pounds to shed and now that the cancer stuff is behind me, I'm focused on getting it ALL back (and the weight off). I'm 56 and not looking to be 20 (or 30, or 40) again, just get back to what feels right to me. And THIS, today, is NOT it! :)
