No. Don't bother using your HRM for any kind of strength training. It will grossly overestimate. (Vs cardio, where it only just overestimates...) Though jump squats will burn about half that much...

I thought it was pretty good. Downside is, while the book is cheap, you still need a good amount of equipment that he has a financial interest in. ;) Though I must say, it has helped me quite a lot.
