Before I even started to SEE the weight loss I felt more energetic. The next thing I noticed was that my clothes started to get baggy. Honestly I'm just eating right by making better choices, watching my calorie intake to stay close to my 1400 calories, eating back my exercise calories ( I use an HRM which I love), and eating 5 - 6 meals a day. With the food part it kind of helps that I've been a diabetic for a while because I didn't have to remove things…

Great advice has been offered. Watching sodium, zig zaging calories, staying above 1200 and using your BMR as a guide are all good things. I love the water too. Since I have bad knees and nerve problems in my feet I needed something that wouldn't hurt as much but good calorie burn. I just recently added aqua aerobics to my exercise routine two times a week an hour each time. I got my daughter to do it with me. We have a good time and feel so relaxed afterward.

I agree with what a lot of people are saying. I think you have to try different things like the treadmill, ellitpical, stationary bike and see what is easiest for you. I was diagnosed with an under-active thyroid this past April. I'm also a type 2 diabetic, both run deep in my family. I'm on medication for both. Are any of you on meds for the thyroid disorder and has that helped at all?
