  • Just did day one and I'm not sore but I feel like jelly. The hardest part for me was the first strength part, it made my arms burn and I was ready to give up. But the rest wasn't so bad. I don't think I'm gonna do this every day because I'm still paying for the gym and I don't think I could gym and shred on the same day,…
  • Your gym might offer you an induction where you can ask them things like this and they can show you which machines are best, I know mine does. (:
  • 5'6 and my goal weight is 132lbs roughly. I started at 154lbs and taking it slowly, it takes me between 1 and 2 weeks to lose just 1lb.
  • This sounds terrible but I'm 19 now and when I was 13 there was a definite mentality that being anorexic/bullemic would be a good thing, I knew a few girls who would much rather have an ED than get fat, and many perfectly skinny girls who really wanted to lose weight who didn't need to. I don't think it was an attention…
  • I was going to say go to bed too. If I'm hungry and its late I just go to bed. Can't eat while you're asleep, plus extra sleep is almost always good.
  • I have mine hidden because I don't log properly. I just work out the calories and add them in as quick add calories rather than finding the actual food. I still log all my calories accurately, I'm just not trying to limit sodium or carbs or sugar or fat or anything so I don't bother searching for the exact food when I add…
  • I get the uncle ben's express microwave rice and microwave it the night/ morning before and take it with me in a little lunch box with a fork for lunch. It tastes really good cold. Also if you have a lot of leftovers in the fridge you can chuck almost anything else in with it to make it more interesting.
  • I use it to help keep track of my weight loss and also if I'm a 100-200 calories over what I want to be for the day and its too late for the gym I use the free step game and go on it while I'm watching TV. The time flies and its hardly any real effort and half an hour burns around 100 calories.

  • I wouldn't be able to choose between Ryan Gosling, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Jake Gylenhaal. (:
  • I had trouble getting back on the wagon a couple of days ago too- the first day is the hardest. I just told myself to focus and be good just for one day. It was hard but now I'm back into the swing of things its easier again. Just focus on one day. It helped for me that most of the christmas chocolate and food has been…
  • I want to get down to 132lbs at some point during the year. Hopefully before September but I'm not gonna rush myself. (:
  • Have you compared photos from before to how you look now? Photos really seem to hit it home for a lot of people. (:
  • Everything you eat and drink that has water in counts towards your 8 glasses. Most people actually get enough water by drinking when they are just thirsty- there are no proven health benefits to drinking water even when you're not thirsty.
  • I think if you're really finding it difficult still in a couple of weeks you should consider raising your calories by 100 or maybe 200. I used to be on 1200 a day and was often hungry and always craving things- but now I'm on 1400 a day and eating exercise calories and I don't even feel like I'm on a diet- I can pretty…

  • Holy crap you look amazing! I have similar goals and so this is really motivational. (:
  • I'm in the same boat as you. Been here since january and only just starting to do this for real. But this time will work. There aren't many things people are good at on their first try, but the fact that you're here and trying again means that you're more motivated than most people already. You can do it! (:
  • While its probably a good idea to drink water throughout the day when you're hungry so you can be sure you not actually just thirsty, there aren't any health benefits to forcing yourself to drink extra water when you aren't thirsty. You should read this:…
  • I don't know why everyone takes this drinking water thing so seriously on MFP. It actually has no health benefits compared to just drinking water when you're thirsty. http://www.scientificamerican.com/article.cfm?id=eight-glasses-water-per-day Its probably a good idea to drink some water when you're hungry just to see if…
  • I'm just sticking to my calorie goal on the days that I can and hoping not to gain weight. I don't care if I don't lose this month, I just don't want to gain. I'm not anticipating more than 5 or 6 days of not sticking to my goal between now and January so if I stick to it the rest of the time I'm hoping I'll be able to…
  • I did. D: Had family over and they bought a HUGE box of thorntons chocolates and a box of turkish delight. Also my dad convinced me to make this huge trifle for us all, plus there was mulled wine and cider and we went to a christmas market on friday night and had burgers. It was a great weekend, very christmassy and I…
  • There's this one chav guy who used to be in my old school a few years above me who I tend to walk past a lot around where I live. He always wears a tracksuit and has his hair gelled and I'm pretty sure he deals drugs. Not a desirable type of guy. Anyway I can pretty much guarantee every single time I walk past him in the…
  • Well I use this account name for pretty much everything I do on the internet so almost all of the images on google that come up are my photography or photos of me. the first one: and the first one that comes up that isn't one I've made or taken is this: lmao!
  • I read that once you've eaten fatty/junk food for the next few days your body craves it more than before, but after those few days your body stops craving it as much. So if you just try avoiding it for a week or two it gets MUCH easier after that.
  • Do you let yourself have treat days? Maybe if you find yourself craving things every so often you can plan a day or two a month or week to allow yourself chocolate brownies. if you plan on going over your calories then its not a bad thing, its a treat and you don't have to feel guilty. Also if you're not even going over…
  • I can completely agree with this. Before I joined MFP I thought 2lbs a week was a healthy weight loss for me (154 lbs starting weight). But you can't be in a hurry to do it, and you can't be impatient and expecting results right away because you'll either work yourself too hard and give up, or not see instant results and…
  • I was 13 or 14 in a pub watching a band and it was with a guy I REALLY REALLY liked, and I was SO terrified I was going to do it wrong. haha.
  • You have to put them next to each other before you upload them. The simplest way would be with paint because I'm sure everyone has it. If you go to the start menu on your computer, then click 'All programs' then 'Accessories' you should find paint. You just want to open paint and put your photos next to each other and add…
  • I almost never eat breakfast and maybe I should but I'd rather have an extra 15 minutes in bed. Anyway yeah I never eat it and so far I'm losing weight steadily like MFP is predicting. Everyone is different, but if what you're doing so far is working for you don't feel like you should change and eat earlier just because…
  • I should be sorting out a presentation I've gotta give on wednesday. I SO can't be bothered. D:
  • I think I'm pretty lucky. When I tell my friends they just tell me in a nice way that I don't need to lose any weight, which is nice because I know they're just trying to say they like me no matter what I weigh. And when I tell my mum she's just supportive- she's always on some kind of diet herself (even though she's…
