  • Thanks so much! I'll definitely check out all those things :)
  • Are you making it too difficult for yourself? I've failed at this 3 times before when I was trying to stick to 1200 calories a day. This time I've got further than ever before because I let myself eat 1400 a day plus a cheat day and I don't let it bother me too much if I don't stick to it perfectly. Sometimes you have to…
  • SW: 154 CW: 142 My overall goal is 132lbs, although I'll have to see how I feel when I get there because I've been 128lbs previously (although I was younger) and I looked skinny but not skeletal, so that could be a good weight for me. I might just decide to tone up and not worry about weight when I hit 132 though.
  • I literally just had a cup of twinings green tea with orange and lotus flower and it tasted really good. I didn't think I'd like it because I've never really liked tea, but it was nice. If you live in the UK you can get two free samples off twinings website. (:
  • You sound like you're doing everything right, so you're probably losing weight but the scales aren't reflecting it for some reason. You should just chill and wait a week or so and try weighing again and the weight will have probably come off by then, and more. If you try to create a bigger defecit you'll just be hungrier…
  • Yeah, when you're skinnier you can throw on anything and still look 10x better than your best planned outfit if you're not skinny.
  • Packets of uncle bens express rice are good. Also I buy those packets of pasta with sauce where you just dump it all in a pan with milk, They're both good cold. Also tortilla wraps with pieces of chicken and salad inside are good. Although I'm not overly bothered with eating carbs/sodium or anything so these might not be…
  • Wow. Where is this going to take effect? Just the USA?
  • About a year ago I started on MFP at 1200, but I tried and failed 3 times eating that much. Every time I'd lose about 6lbs and then gain it all back. But this time I decided to take it slow and eat 1400 a day and this time I'm 10lbs down and I don't feel like I'm depriving myself or dieting. (: 1200 a day just wasn't…
  • I've tried the breakfast biscuits and I really like them. I've never really eaten big breakfasts and I grab them and eat them on my way to uni so they're great for me. Also i tend to eat various go ahead bars for breakfast too. They're pretty low calories, taste good and are easy to eat on the go. (:
  • There have been no scientifically proven benefits to drinking extra water when you're not thirsty. There was a study done with two identical twins- one drank the daily reccomended amount of water every day for a month and the other just drank when she was thirsty. At the end of the month there were absolutely no health…
  • Maybe you're gaining muscle if you've just started a new workout routine? If you're losing inches you know you're on the right track and the scales will definitely start catching up eventually. (:
  • This happened to me too. I got on the scales today after the gym out of curiosity and it said I was 1lb less than my current recorded MFP weight. And 1lb is a big deal to me because it take me between 1 and 2 weeks to lose that much. I'm just going to guess it was a fluke unless it still says the same in a few days.
  • I've never had a problem with them before but the other day I took a big multivitamin and it made me throw up about 10 minutes after I took it. I don't know if I just didn't drink enough water to wash it down properly or what but its put me off taking them a bit. Might buy chewable ones instead.
  • Maybe I'm mis-understanding but I don't know why people get pissed off when people tell them they don't need to lose any more weight, its a compliment. They think you already look good. You should just smile and say thank you.
  • She's skinny and pretty but not an absolute stick and and she doesn't have massive boobs, which I don't either so its a more realistic goal for me. (:
  • It'd be cool to fit into my prom dress from 4 years ago as well as I fit into it back then. Its a UK size 10. Not that I'd have many occasions to wear it, its just a nice thing to aim for. Also fitting into a onesie I bought a few weeks ago in size small. And I have a pair of jeans from H&M I've never worn before because…
  • I've got 4 mini goals and I'm buying myself a thomas sabo bracelet or charm each time I reach one. They're not really expensive so I wear them every day and I want them to remind me of what I've done so I don't give up and gain again. I've just recently hit my first 5lb goal and bought myself an orange bracelet. (:
  • You could say "I'm watching what I eat" or "I'm eating healthy", both of which are presumably true. (:
  • I read that when your muscles really ache you need to let them recover otherwise you could do damage. I think the whole pushing through it thing is for when you just mildly ache. But the good news is when they do stop aching they should be stronger than before so you'll be able to do more sit ups again. (:
  • I saw an advert on here for thorntons chocolates and it had a big photo of a really amazing looking chocolate. It made my mouth water so bad. D:
  • Just do whatever you find works for you. I eat a relatively big meal (700 calories or so) every night at 7-8pm and I'm losing weight fine. Just so long as you stay under your daily calories.
  • Ahh okay. (: Well if you ever decide to join they have a few good sub-reddits for weight loss and toning up which are good for motivation. http://www.reddit.com/r/loseit http://www.reddit.com/r/Fitness/ http://www.reddit.com/r/progresspics/
  • You don't have to do 30 day shred for 30 days consecutively so you can count last monday too if you want. Also I'd say do the whole 10 days before moving up because most people do only ache the first couple of days but it doesn't mean you're not improving when you're not aching.
  • There's a website out there that gives you an estimation of an ideal weight for your height based on what's healthy and what people think looks good. http://www.calculator.net/ideal-weight-calculator.html Edit: Also awesome profile picture, are you a redditor? (:
  • Just 5 minutes ago I found mambo no5 on youtube. Forgot how catchy it is. (: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hfvJOL1gpic
  • I actually think some women do want to genuinely be 'model skinny' because they think its more attractive than being athletic and toned. I really don't understand why.
  • Are we talking UK or american sizes here? I hope we're talking american because I'm 5'6 and 147lbs and I wear UK size 14 jeans (size 10 american).
  • This is stupid but I wanted a onsie pajama for ages and I finally bought one in the largest size they had in the shop which was a small. I can fit into it but its tight and I feel like it'll break if I sit down lmao. So I want to be able to wear it without feeling lumpy and fat and without feeling like it'll break. I have…
  • The same thing happened to me when i first started with this again in november too. I don't know what the cause was but I made sure to take a towel to the gym to wipe my face with after a sweaty work out and rinsed my face with warm water and used a light moisturizer after the gym too. I also changed my pillow cases more…
